Netflix Fan is Back & Posting Like Mad

Becky from the Netflix Fan blog is back from RiverRun Film Festival (where she watched more than 20 movies) and is blogging up a storm.

I use Bloglines to to read blogs, but I've been looking at NetNewsWire for OS X again so I can read a set of blogs on the train to NYC. Becky noted that you can add movies to your queue from within NetNewsWire. NetNewsWire is an excellent program and I can't wait to try this out.

She also blogged about the growth of the video rental market in Q1 2005.

Becky and I typically cover different stories, so I urge you to check out her blog.

For those that don't already know, you can use both Bloglines and NetNewsWire at the same time; NNW 2.0x has Bloglines support. I love being able to use NNW on my PowerBook and Bloglines elsewhere so I don't have to re-read or sift through things I've already read.

I think it's worth noting that "adding within NetNewsWire" is really nothing more than using the integrated web browser. It doesn't really supply an alternate interface and the functionality is just a side effect of including a browser interface. By the same token, you can "rate within NetNewsWire".

That's not to say that NNW isn't a terrific program. I can't live without it. I just think the way it's phrased is a little misleading.

Mike C,

I should have talked about Bloglines integration -- that's why I'm looking at NetNewsWire.

Thanks for the plug for my blog!
