Blockbuster One Month Free Code
A Blockbuster employee sent this in:
Anyone can use the promotion code "bbstore" to get a free month trial of Blockbuster Online. It's a promotion code for employees, but they don't check to see if you are actually an employee or not. As a current employee, I have tried it, and it works. I have also had several friends, who are not employees, try it, and it works for them too.

Finally "'Hacking' Netflix" lives up to its name ;-)

It works, it works! Hopefully it will for everyone else, too.

"HackingNetflix will not teach you how to lie, cheat or steal from Netflix."
I guess this only applies to Netflix.

Yeah, it's a questionable thing to post, but it's only a free month trial offer and they must know it would get passed around to friends of employees.
If you have a huge cost to acquire a new customer (Blockbuster's is rumored to be much higher than Netflix's $35) then you'd love for someone to use a free month code -- it'll actually save you money on marketing.
If they ask me to remove it, I will.
If I ran a company like Netflix or Blockbuster I would "leak" codes frequently.

P.S. It's good to have an upaid conscience consultant. ;-)

I tried the free month from BBO. It started out great, I got 3 discs, watched them, and sent them back. After a week or so, they finally acknowledged receipt of the discs and sent 3 more. I watched those, sent them back and waited. After 7 days I used the "report a disc problem" link to tell them that they must be missing. Incredibly, they found 2 of the discs that same day. The third wasn't found until a day later. These discs were all addressed to a PO box right here in town. I had already cleaned out my queue and as soon as they found that 3rd disc I cancelled before the month was over. Netflix ain't perfect, but Blockbuster is just too damn slow. Don't expect to get more than 6-8 discs a month from them. I did get a coupon for a free used movie and a couple of free rentals.

I also tried Blockbuster with a free coupon fiv months ago.
It is great. Somewhat faster than Netflix, and I get more DVD and expeically more new releases per mont. I think Blockbuster gives faster new releases because they buy more as they hae a channel to sell the dfiks after demand slacks.
The person above who said don't expect more than 6-8 disks is seriously in conflict with what everyone is reporting. look at slickdeals or other consumer sites where their are threads of people comparing. Everyone reports they get two to five more disks per month with Blockbuster. 6-8 disks per month is a claim by someone who has obviously never even tried Blockbuster.

doesn't work if you've been a customer before... not unless you have a CC you've not used with BB before.

Yeah the codes "friend" and "cooper" also work.

Worked fine for me!

Would someone mind giving a hint as to WHERE on the BB site one enters this code?
(I have been a BB member since Dec 2004)

Exactly. Way to wait more than you have to on your own and then complain.

AKA
Yeah I know it is unethical, but hey it's not my money so I can be selectively OK with doing the wrong thing when it doesn't directly affect me.

Exactly. Way to wait a week voluntarily and then whine about it, then cry conspiracy. Report it on the 3rd day after the mail man has passed retard, problem solved.

actually when u delcare a movie to be lost/stolen we clear it out of ur list, and the only way we can do this is to say we have recieved it...we don’t have a command to say ur dvd has been lost....:/

I tried Netflix and it took FOREVER to get a movie back. They say two to three days, no way. It can take over a week to get a movie from them, and I sent it to a local zip code in the same city. All of my fiends have the same problem. I dropped them as soon as I could, after one month. All I can say is BEWARE of Netflix, they are a big rip-off.

I have had NO problems at all with Netflix. I get my movies the nexct day, and movies I send back are received by them the next day. It all depends on how close to a shipping point you are.

I've been a Netflix customer for 2 years and had no complaine ts up until thlast month. It used to work lotike a well-oiled machine - 3 day turnaround, no major issues.
All of a sudden since last month the turnaround time doubled or even trippled. I used to be able to get up to 6 dvds a week but now for the whole last month I only got 8... They receive dvds I send them, then it takes 2-3 days to "select" which ones to send me next, and another day or two to actually send it + a day to ship. I am very disappointed with their perfomance and thinking to give Blockbuster a try.

Hi, there do you want what i want from you send me the repaly by.............

According to the newspaper, netflix just lost a case in court after admitting that they are favor customers who are slower to send back movies, so the quicker you send them back, the slower that they respond, and the less willing they are to gie you popular in demand movies.
Does anyone have a current code for a month free netflix instead of the 2 week offer?
