The Netflix Fan Blog discovered the William Shatner DVD Fan Club. For $47.99 per year you get a new movie, personally selected by Shatner, each month (you get one free movie with signup)
"There is nothing quite as exhilarating as discovering a Sci-Fi, Fantasy or Horror classic-to-be that has gone unnoticed by the general movie watching population. I've personally chosen a select group of movies that were entertaining, original, and memorable to share with you. I hope that you enjoy them as much as I did."
This guy is amazing. He's been a cult tv show actor, a singer, a star of a current tv show, and most recently he's been on my local channels shilling a law firm. Has DVD-by-mail jumped the shark?
Wi
Cool.. underground sci-fi hits that no one else has.. like thier first selection -- Immortel..

I'm almost willing to pay it just to see what exactly is on William Shatner's list.

"rock-it-man!"
That is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

OK, I can get Oprah to pick my books and Shatner to pick my DVDs. Now all I need is some celebrity to pick my TV and music, and I never have to worry about making entertainment choices again!
What would we do without celebrities, I acks you?! Oh, we'd still be lost in the Dark Ages slicing buboes off our skin.

I heard a Shatner song on XM recently (on Lucy I think) and was astounded because I actually liked it.

Yes! This is excellent. I am a huge Shatner fan and this is just another way to get inside of his mind.
