I got a copy of the new Netflix "Gangster Movie" commercial starring Tony Sirico (he's "Paulie" on the Sopranos) and made it available for download (warning: the QuickTime file is 2.9mb and may take time to download).

Still the same old liies. "All the DVDs you want." They don't give you all you want. They sit on your DVDs if you want more than x a week on x-out plan. Why don't they stop lying and set a limit?

i agree. i know that saying 'all the dvds you want' sounds good, but if they said, 'dvds for as little as $1 each' or something like that and set the limit at 18 (for the three out plan), i would appreciate the honesty. another thing they should have done was a type of referal program...i have talked at least five or six people into netflix and giving me at least a month, two weeks or a week of free service would have been nice. on a sidenote, i just joined blockbustonline for the free two weeks (and then i'll quit) just so i can fly through six feet under faster.

anyone know how many movies you get out at a time for blockbuster's 2 free weeks? i signed up, but 3 six feet under discs in my queue, in this order: #1. season 2 disc 4 #2. season 2 disc 5 #3. season 3 disc 1. of course blockbuster says that they are shipping #2 and #3, which is useless to me because i need #1 first. they were all available when i had them in my queue. hopefully they ship 3 for your free trial. thanks.

Fitting to have criminals represent the company, OLD SCAM, Throttling, and the NEW IMPROVED SCAM:LOST IN THE MAIL,I've had 2 discs now lost in the mail and amazingly while on my second month, just re-joined thinking they might be honest and have morals, but nope, same ole Netflix! Now the first month the system saw me as a NEW member so of course it was flawless,,,shipped one day(local center). Now disc never shipped once old ones reyturned to the center until the next day, AND they dont arrive in one day as previous( i live close to service hub) they arrive 2-3 days later. I just got off the phone with cutomer service and informed her that eventually someone is gonna to overturn the legal rock they are hiding under, she laughed...i can't wait to see the day when there is a multi-million dollar lawsuit brought against them (again) for fraud, and i will love to see if Sandra is still laughing as she is looking for a new job.

"of course blockbuster says that they are shipping #2 and #3, which is useless to me because i need #1 first."
BB tends to ship things in random order, UNLESS you put some discs at the top of your queue with a wait (or not yet released). There's no guarantee Netflix will send discs in order either for popular series. If you're a heavy user, chances are they won't. If you're a light user, chances are they will. If you don't want a disc, don't add it to your queue. Just add one disc at a time for series.
I think both companies lie about availability. They tell you more movies are available than really are. Just try moving some "available" movies to the top, and watch them suddenly go to "short wait" or "long wait." That happened to me several times with NFLX. Either they lie habitually or they are punishing me with reduced availability.

This is actually pretty funny considering that Blockbuster paid money to get sponsored in upcoming issues of the Sopranos. Leave it to Polly to always be trying to sneak a little extra on the side.
