Jennifer Netherby @ Video Business: "Consumers watch more movies on average on DVD than on pay cable or in theaters. And although they watch movies in theaters less than once a month, they watch almost six movies a month on DVD. In a typical year, Americans watch 50 DVDs. On the whole, younger people watch more than older people. Those ages 18 to 24 watch the most movies on DVD—88 on average each year."
I watch a fair number more than 50. Three to four times that, I would imagine.
I think we here are in a special demographic (cinephiles?).

I think the official name's cinemaniacs, the title of a movie I haven't seen. I try to do one a day, but often miss days. I'd probably average 150-200 a year, like gir. I turn off anything that looks bad, like Blade Trinity. Wesley Snipes must have been desperate to do that lousy script with a third-rate cast.
