Another Dedicated Netflix Mail Slot
Wendy writes: I was quite amused recently when I visited the Fort Sutter branch of the US Postal Service - that's zip code 95816, in Sacramento, CA. They have one of their slots assigned to Netflix only. I asked the postal clerk about it and he said they estimated one-third of their branch's volume is Netflix movies, so he decided to set aside a slot for it.

It sort of like those irritating "Local" and "Out of town" slots at our post office.
I wonder if they would like for me to go in the back and load some mailbags unto the trucks too.

I wouldn't mind having a Local, Out of Town, and Netflix slot at my post office. All they have is now Metered and Stamped Mail. If it gives me faster service, or keeps the prices down, I'm all for it. If you are "irritated" by this, don't use it. Your delayed returns will be appreciated by Netflix, I'm sure.

Uhoh....I was in this post office this afternoon and the custom Netflix sign was missing. I hope it's just in need of more double-stick tape and hasn't been removed because it was mentioned here on this website!

Over the years, I have watched people play Video Poker in Las Vegas using all sorts of superstitious movements. Some will only use cold coins to play, some will push the buttons extra hard, some will tap the machine with their money before playing and the list goes on and on. Each hand is setup by a RNG (Random Number Generator). The moment you start to play, the hand is set in stone. The machine will randomly select all the cards from a 52-card deck and deal them out.

Right, because a desire for efficiency is the first sign of laziness.
