DVD Dossier scored an interview with President George Bush about his Netflix account:
"I thought it would be good," he says, "because they use the United States Postal Service to deliver the movies. I appreciate that. Dick says they have these 42 undisclosed locations around the country where they ship the movies from and that if Americans can't get next day delivery of their favorite films, then the terrorists have won."What else does he like about Netflix besides the large selection?
"They don't charge you late fees," he explains. "I try to leave no DVDs behind, but you know, sometimes it don't always work out. And I've already racked up over $360 billion in late fees on another project I'm working on, so the no late fees thing is big."
You can view the presidential queue here.
Pretty cute - and I'm one of those who still support Dubya.

Bush is great isn't he? I think it's wonderful that he is able to continue to work productively despite his status as the world's first living brain donor.
CHENEY IN 08!!!

hawk, it must be comforting to believe that Bush just isn't smart enough to be president (despite having better Ivy League college grades than either Kerry or Gore). Cuz the alternative is realizing there are no easy answers to combat the enemies America faces, and maybe we are just screwed.
But I did think the article was funny.
Posted by: Hunter McDaniel | January 30, 2007 at 04:29 PM
"The Madness of King George" summarizes the last 6 years quite appropriately.
Actually, I don't think it's comforting to anyone (certainly not 70%+ of the country some of whom are clearly experiencing buyer's remorse) that Bush is president based on what that judgment should be based on - his policies. (Really? Neither Kerry nor Gore had more than a C+ average at Yale? And if Bush hadn't been a legacy candidate, you think he'd be able to get in on his own merits? Shareholders of his failed oil company, financed with daddy's connections, might beg to differ. And really, should we be judging Dubya vs. the presidential nominees who ran against him, or on his own policies? The standards for the American presidency have never seemed lower imo. Sure I have my gripes - as a Californian living in D.C., it amazes me that Arnold Schwarzenegger has a much better command and understanding of the English language than Dubya does. I don't even know what a real president sounds like anymore. But so long as his policies have some basis in fact then I don't care if he sounds like Donald Duck. Unfortunately, this Administration's tether to the real world seems to have long been severed.) And actually yes, the easy answer back when he preemptively and as a historical first decided to bomb Iraq to high water, was to focus on Afghanistan where our enemies were and get Osama, as opposed to diverting our taxpayer dollars, soldiers and common sense to Iraq, creating enemies unrelated to the 9/11 war on terror in the process and ambushing our soldiers in a civil war (and don't even get me started on Iran). I agree with you that "we are just screwed," but by courtesy of Dubya burdening the entire country's future and budget, and toying with soldiers' lives on a war of choice, rather than by some weird aligning of the stars as your post seems to imply.
But back on point - yes, the article was cute.

It's almost not fair to goof on someone who's this easy to goof on.

That said, DVD Dossier did a great job.

"I'm one of those who still support Dubya."
Oh so let's see, Bush's supporter now conist of Hunter, Cheney, Laura and the twins, Jeb-boy, Pa Bush and Ma Bush. Oh yeah, and the entire staff of Faux News also known now as The F0X Noise Channel. Oh, and maybe the dog but that's still in dispute.
But I liked the article.

This one is just too too easy. But here goes.
WMD = Watchin' Movie Decider.
GWB uses Netflix [where throttling is now a case of not being able to find the movies].
The choice couldn't be clearer: Everyone can now go with Blockbuster Online Total Access.

"Pretty cute - and I'm one of those who still support Dubya."
No offense, but you might want to consider putting yourself into a mental word. Supporting Bush at this point is akin to supporting Hilter. Seriously.
Posted by: vio | January 31, 2007 at 10:43 AM
At first I didn't think the Hitler comparison was apt, then I realized that through his totalitarian regime and aggressive military offensives, Hitler managed to turn the entire world against his country except for the island nation of Japan.
At least we still have England....
Posted by: hawk5391 | January 31, 2007 at 11:58 AM
I suppose one who compares our Commander in Chief to Hitler then one would have to compare our military to Nazis and the Gestapo. It takes a lot of courage and moral character to hide behind a blog and demand to exercise your free speech. My guess is some of you have never defended your "Rights" at posting your hate towards other Americans by suggesting they go into a mental ward ... I mean a mental word.
Perhaps if an American city such as Denver, San Francisco or Miami were to have the distinction as being the first to reach the ambient temperature of 6 million degrees then your perspective of America would be different.
Yes I did defend your rights and now I am exercising mine despite the fact some of you probably don't think I and others who disagree, are entitled to have.
Posted by: Rcnca | January 31, 2007 at 04:20 PM
"despite the fact some of you probably don't think I and others who disagree, are entitled to have."
Oh, we respect your right to that alright as soon as you form one. Parroting Bush talking points and regurgitating the latest from the Faux News channel can hardly be classified as an actual opinion.
Posted by: eazyguy52 | January 31, 2007 at 04:43 PM
Written like a true Al Quida supporter easyguy52. Peace be with you and Allah - Allah is great!
Posted by: Rcnca | January 31, 2007 at 05:15 PM
"...then one would have to compare our military to Nazis and the Gestapo."
Don't put words in my mouth. Because I don't like Bush doesn't mean I don't have respect for our armed forces. My parents both served, as did one uncle and both grandfathers. I chose not to, because shaving my head and sleeping in a room with other men just doesn't sound like my idea of fun.
Bush is a stooge for the Republican Party leadership. I doubt he's ever had an original idea. He's never been a success at anything he's ever done, and he has been bailed out of numerous business failures by his daddy's money and connections.
"Perhaps if an American city such as Denver, San Francisco or Miami were to have the distinction as being the first to reach the ambient temperature of 6 million degrees then your perspective of America would be different."
What a thought! Sounds like YOU are the one who hates Americans.
"Yes I did defend your rights and now I am exercising mine..."
Your right to your opinion doesn't supersede my right to my opinion. It's too bad you don't understand what you were fighting for. Nice job hiding behind your blog btw.
P. S. Before you start sarcastically mocking vio's misspelling, perhaps you should correct the grammar in your final sentence.
Posted by: hawk5391 | January 31, 2007 at 05:21 PM
What a thought! Sounds like YOU are the one who hates Americans.
For over 20 years people like me in uniform had to listen to people like you calling us "baby killers" and like this past weekend, spit at us.
You are a user, one who takes advantage of what the military fights and gives you and that's freedom of speech. It's easy when you don't have to pay for it and to show just how ignorant you are, they don't shave their heads any longer unless you request it.
You hawk is a reason we need to bring back the draft, perhaps then your perspective on things will begin to change and you wouldn't hate this country and try to "P" on what it represents.
P.S. Your sentence structure is quite poor, perhaps if you spent less time on your skateboard and screwing then perhaps you can be a little more intelligent in your posting. Your coming to VIO's aid shows weakness on his part and yours, let him stand on his own two feet.
My parents both served, as did one uncle and both grandfathers.
At least somebody in your family wasn't a G.D. coward! Obviously you are Generation "X" which we all know "Stands for Nothing". You should trade in your skateboard for a uniform, then you could earn some respect. The only reason you don't spit on the military is because it isn't popular at the moment and that will no doubt change. Last thing, don't tell me about hiding behind a blog, what the "H" do you think you're doing?
Posted by: Rcnca | January 31, 2007 at 06:16 PM
"For over 20 years people like me in uniform had to listen to people like you calling us "baby killers" and like this past weekend, spit at us."
Ronca your phoniness shows. This agiain is the myth continually perpetuated by those on the right about incidents that for the most part never happened except in the movies or on TV or in that fairytale land of The Fox News Channel. As for that "weekend spitting incident" it's already proving to be full of more holes than a pound of swiss cheese. The guy Sparling, has a chronic history of continually reporting incidents such as this. Maybe you are him.
You really ought to quit watching Bill Orally and Sean Flimflammity because you sound exactly like someone who is reading their news copy.
This harkens back to how the right pushed the story about the service guy at the Kerry protest getting beat up. Turned out there was a fight, but it had nothhing to do with the war and a lot to do with what happened at a bar. Of course, you didn't see the right wingers offering a retraction.
And frankly, I do believe you probably have all kinds of military items in your bedroom that you worship and drool over. And maybe you did wear a uniform--on Halloween. Most of the guys and gals I know in the armed forces are far more articulate than what you have shown to be, can form their own opinions pro and con without hearing the voice of Rush Limpbutt in their bed, and many of them privately talk about how much they despise the current commander-in-chief. You are just too obvious Ronca.
Posted by: eazyguy52 | January 31, 2007 at 06:47 PM
I have to agree with easyguy; I don't think you saw service rcnca. I don't think you've even graduated high school, and if you don't improve your grammar it's quite possible you never will (although, with the state of education today...).
By the way, I don't have a skateboard. Can I borrow yours?

Posted by: Rcnca | January 31, 2007 at 07:13 PM
Let's see...you started in 1968 which means you must be about 57 these days. Probably more like 61 since you would have gotten your college degree before serving, I assume. Congratulations on figuring out how to turn on your computer and access the internet! That's quite a feat at your age. You might want to tone down the vitriolic remarks, though. I'm sure they're not good for your blood pressure.
Anyway, it's a nice record but I'm still not buying that it's yours. I work with veterans all the time and I don't hear many as ignorant and angry as you.
Posted by: hawk5391 | January 31, 2007 at 07:22 PM
Close on the age and frankly I don't care if you believe the record or not, short of giving you my SSN you'll never know so believe what you want. I on the other hand don't believe you work with veterans, McDonald's yes but a government veteran facility .. no way! I will say that there is hope for you if you frequent the Rush Limbaugh show and Fox News. Why would anyone such as yourself reference that media unless they tune in.
As far as turning on a computer, an idiot can figure it out as you have proven.
I am not going to waste any further time with you, I will let you take the last shot so I hope you make it a good one. Personally, I have never communicated with anyone more in need of a visit to their local veterinary clinic to get neutered and that sir would surely help to take the winds out of your sails.
DB&N forever .. (Look it up, no free rides)

I was going to stay out of this but since I've never backed away from a fight before...
Hawk, Vio, Ezguy, all I can say about your rantings and thoughts about Bush are that I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH EACH OF YOU. King george has got to be the worst President we have ever had. It will take MANY years to undo the problems he has caused.
Rcnca all I can say about your rantings is that you appear to be one arrogant SOB. You post you so-called military and personal resume as if we are supposed to be impressed, assuming anyone believes you. I, for one don't believe any of what you said about yourself. You appear to be one of those bush ass-kissers that would support bush no matter how much crap he does.
One other thing Rcnca, if you're itching for a flame-war or a real fight, come and get it!
Posted by: Tester | January 31, 2007 at 09:00 PM
"I will say that there is hope for you if you frequent the Rush Limbaugh show and Fox News."
See, that's the difference between you and I. On the very rare occasions that I even cross paths with the Fox Noise Channel any more, I'm smart enough to know that manure is manure.
You on the other hand can see crap a thousand times and still proclaim it to be a rose regardless of the evidence.
Posted by: eazyguy52 | January 31, 2007 at 10:34 PM
I suppose it was inevitable that once GWB's name was mentioned a flame war would ensue. Bush Derangement Syndrome is on full display in this thread.
I don't have much use for cable news, but I don't see any more bias on FNC than there is in the opposite direction on CNN, CNBC and the others. I guess it's just a matter of whose ox is gored.

Tester or is that Testical?
I have a picture of you pouring gas on a vet and then threatening him and if you had lit the match I would have turned it over to the authorities. You don't even want to go there but just to remind you, remember that rally back on November 12th? I was the one in the blue and white shirt you almost knocked over as you ran.

"Correction That was Testor and not tester..."
It's a damn good thing you corrected that!
"I wouldn't put it past any anti-american on this site."
Who the hell died and put you in charge of determining who is anti-American? You are nothing but a blow-hard SOB who has delusions that bush really cares about you. The only bigger piece of shit then you is king george!
Posted by: Tester | February 01, 2007 at 12:46 PM
Get 'im Tester!
LOL
Posted by: hawk5391 | February 01, 2007 at 01:39 PM
Thanks hawk. These kind of people really get to me. Their attitude is if you don't agree with them then you are anti-American. That's really mind-numbing. They claim we're fighting to bring freedom to Iraq (BS) and then they want to deny you the freedoms we already have. They make all kinds of stupid statements such as "You're un-American", You're helping the enemy", You don't support our troops" and other BS statements. They have nothing to bolster their arguments except lies and deceit.
Posted by: Tester | February 01, 2007 at 02:16 PM
I agree with you all wholeheartedly (eazyguy, hawk, tester, vio). And seriously rcnca, anyone who has this in his post to defend George Bush's record: "Written like a true Al Quida supporter easyguy52. Peace be with you and Allah - Allah is great!"
...clearly has no facts to stand on. After all, the very first Muslim U.S. congressman was elected in '06 - I suppose this makes him an Al Qaeda sympathizer? Good god. It honestly sounds like the rantings and ravings of some lunatic. The "anti-American" "you must love Allah" thing is SO tired. It's SO Mission Accomplished.
I thought this was the United States, a country that's great by virtue of allowing you to have freedom of religion, or NO religion? Look it up - it's in the same part of the Constitution as this "free speech" right about which you seem to be so knowledgeable. And no, actually, the military does not "give us" the freedom of speech nor protect our right to it. The Constitution gives us that right, specifically the Bill of Rights, and the only way to amend the Constitution and take that right away is a difficult, near-impossible task involving arcane Congressional rules and procedure of which I'll spare you the boredom.
Resorting to insults to respond to an argument is the domain of my 5-year old niece, not someone who is in their 50s and 60s and, by his own statement, has seen a lot of the world. Then again, if you're getting your facts from a sex offender (Bill O'Reilly), a law-breaking pill-popper (Rush Limbaugh) and/or the Faux News Channel, I can't really blame you.
And for heaven's sake - if you're a guy you should be able to spell "testicle." More proof that Dubya should be focusing on education in this country, not "making wartime."
Posted by: thecheshirecat | February 01, 2007 at 03:43 PM
@thecheshirecat;
Great post. Unfortunately rcnca won't take too kindly to what you have said so you had better be ready for the insults and other BS.
Posted by: Tester | February 01, 2007 at 06:22 PM
Tester and cat, great posts, and honorable mention to vio and easyguy too. Too bad none of it's likely to get through rcnca's thick skull....
Posted by: hawk5391 | February 01, 2007 at 06:31 PM
"I guess it's just a matter of whose ox is gored."
Hunter, with that one statement You make yourself appear, at least to me, a person who thinks things through instead of going off half-cocked. You like the President but you don't try to cram your views down our throats. You don't seem to imply that your viewpoints have to be right and all of the other viewpoints have to be wrong. Basically I guess I am saying that you appear to respect our rights to what we believe in even if you think we are wrong. That respect is sorely missing from Rcnca.

"I don't have much use for cable news, but I don't see any more bias on FNC than there is in the opposite direction on CNN, CNBC and the others. I guess it's just a matter of whose ox is gored."
No more bias on Faux News than CNN? Does CNN cut people off during discussions, like Bill O'Liely? Does CNN tell lies pathologically, like Sean Hammity and Ann Coulter? It's only a matter of degrees, perhaps. They're all in the corporate-friendly, anti-poor, pro-rich, pro-globalization boat. But to say Faux News is "no more biased" is like saying Bush and Gore are equal. One speaks against pollution and environmental ruin. The other leaves the table from Kyoto and puts ex-CEOs from power companies and oil companies in charge of our country's resources. Do the math.
Posted by: type-cast | February 03, 2007 at 12:51 AM
I agree with all that you have said type-cast but I think you're missing the point. You and I both believe what you have said in your previous post about Fox News being more biased then CNN because we are against what King george is doing. Hunter sees it differently because of what he believes in. It's all a matter of perception.
I have no problem in accepting that not everyone feels the way I do...as long as that person is open-minded enough to realize that he is not necessarily correct. In the case of rcnca, he has the attitude that just because he believes something, it automatically makes him right and everyone who disagrees with him wrong. That kind of attitude I will not accept.
I would have no problem in debating Hunter whereas rcnca can kiss my you-know-what.
Posted by: Tester | February 03, 2007 at 04:41 PM
That wouldn't be difficult Tester, you are all "you-know-what".
Posted by: Rcnca | February 06, 2007 at 01:59 PM
I find it interesting Rcnca that you would wait until now to repsond. Most of the people here have moved on and probable will not see your poor attempt at humor.
It's amazing that your kind of people can't stand it when the bitch that is bush is criticized and you can't do a thing about it. Kind of makes you feel that you're not in control of things, doesn't it. Your kind always wants to control things from who we like to who we vote for and everything else. Well I can tell you this, no matter what you say, do or think, one thing that will not change is that your bitch-boy bush has an approval rating that, if it goes any lower, will be shown as a negative number. You do know what a negative number is don't you. You should because that's what your IQ is!
Posted by: Tester | February 06, 2007 at 02:45 PM
Golly, it must be. Do you suppose its a character flaw? Perhaps I need counseling but then again, it brought you back didn't it so I guess I am in charge! Perhaps this isn't about Bush, perhaps this is all about YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: Rcnca | February 06, 2007 at 04:30 PM
Your psychological bull won't work. This whole thing is about how much you love King george. In fact, I would be surprised if your nose wasn't brown from having it up bush's ass so much.
