That was dumber than a box of rocks.

Why does MTV continue to exist? Is that the best they got? Maybe they should just stick to Real Road Rules and Pimp My Crib, or whatever reality crap they are currently churning out.

It wasn't completely stupid. There were some good flicks in their list which you wouldn't expect them to point out. #1, #2, and #4 are very good. I haven't seen most of the others, except Night of the Living Dead. I agree MTV has turned to crap. I stopped watching them, because they stopped having countdowns, Amp, Aeon Flux, Headbanger's Ball, and other cool shows. Their "reality" TV and "Lifestyles of the Rich and Frivolous" is a total turn-off. I'd rather watch paint dry. MTV is dead.

"MTV is dead."

I wish. Talk about setting culture back 1,000 years. They more or less make a living out of portraying spoiled superficial brats in the most professionally edited way possible. It's an idolization of youthful stupidity and gives children watching it absolutely no role models.

type-cast

It's dead to me. Nobody I know watches MTV - ever. I used to watch it all the time, when they actually had MUSIC, genre shows, count downs, artist specials, and live shows. Now it's all Spring Break, beach parties, Cribs, Punk'd, Real World, and other garbage. What does that have to do with Music? I gave MTV the boot some time in the '90s. I noticed a distinct change, from focusing on MUSIC, of all genres and time periods, to focusing on celebrities, stupid kids, and modern music.
