I've tried to avoid the iPhone hype, but it's interesting to note that Apple sold 500,000 iPhones over the weekend. Why write about it here? The iPhone is the best way to watch movies on a small screen (you have to visit an Apple store and see a demo), and if they can continue the sales momentum of this weekend iTunes could be the #1 platform for downloading movies. With iTunes you can buy a movie and watch it on your computer, TV, or phone. The only thing they are missing is a subscription service, like Netflix or Blockbuster Online.
Did I buy an iPhone? Nope. I've been using Edge (the data network) for the past 2 years, and it's too slow. While I'd love to have an iPhone, my BlackJack supports 3G data, and is much faster. I connect to the BlackJack using Bluetooth PAN and I can get online anywhere. I also need Outlook "push" support, and no word on when this will be available from Apple.
Will you buy an iPhone?

$600!!!!!!!! Man thats a lot of beer money. A simple cellphone is more than enough for me.

I bought one and it's worth every penny. The iPhone has Wifi support and uses it over EDGE when available. The speed hasn't really been an issue for me, and I can live with that since the iPhone is truly amazing and better in almost every way. You've gotta try it at a local Apple Store or something, it's a great product.

As soon as Apple ships an iPhone with 3G I will buy one. Also, I'll probably purchase the 160GB AppleTV very soon.
