Netflix and actor Dana Carvey have teamed up to produce "Down in Front with Dana Carvey," a free, online feature where Carvey will highlight eleven films available on Netflix's Watch Instantly feature, including Jackass, North by Northwest, and The Exorcist.
"Down in Front With Dana Carvey" will only be available on http://www.netflix.com/netflixnowplaying from Friday at 12:01am (PT) until midnight on Saturday.
You can access an animated, interactive collage by clicking on the life jacket ("In the meantime play with some films").
"When Netflix asked me to host these great movies while poking a little fun at them, I was thrilled," said Mr. Carvey. "But I soon realized it wasn't going to be easy. How do you come up with something funny about 'Gorillas in the Mist'? Luckily, I had recently purchased an animatronic monkey head. I'm serious."I had to stop renting movies because the late fees forced me to sell my summer home in Montana," Mr. Carvey added. "Netflix changed all that. I'm happy Netflix has asked me to help draw attention to their new instant watching feature with my take on these wonderful films, a number of which I've watched many, many times."
