Happy Holidays to the People That Process our DVDs
Ian had a great idea: include a note with your Netflix or Blockbuster DVD to thank the people that process millions of DVDs every day for us, and wish them "Happy Holidays."

won't that create a lot of work for them taking off stickers?

Forgo the sticky and toss in a buck. I'd say they wouldn't mind that little treat. Call it a TIP, if you will.

Forgo the money and the stickies. Nice sentiment but it'll just slow things down, no?

Maybe I'll stick a Happy Holidays stickie on a dollar bill with my next NF return.... and see if they suspend my account.

And while you are at it, why not put a cookie or two in the envelope as well LOL...sorry just couldn't resist.
I have no problems with people putting a note or something like that...but in reality it probably just slows things down as they have to take the note off.
As for putting in dollars I have a couple thoughts on that 1) can the person who opens it keep it? 2) That person probably isn't the same person opening your sleeves every time...why should that person be the only one you tip?
Sorry...I know I'm a Scrooge, while I understand the gesture, I just don't think it is a good idea.

Last time I put a sticky note in with the disc I got an email back asking me to use the internet for comments and not to put sticky notes on the disc envelope.

trickiewillie has a point there: if you want to say thank you, don't create more work for the shipping center folks, just go to the comments on the Netflix website.

it'd be best to just use a marker on the return envelope and write it at the top corner under the Netflix logo.

If it were my job to open hundreds of envelopes (or more), I would be irritated out of my mind at people sticking notes on them, no matter what they say. Just the idea of people thinking that they're cute or that they're worth stopping to read irritates me.
Sorry to be a wet blanket, but this would apply to the actual employees too. They have their system / assembly line figured out. Just let them do their work.
