Woo! Was getting tired of constantly having to re-sign-in. Hope it works out.

Thanks.
I wish there were a better alternative, like the people at TypeKey fixing their implementation. Hey guys, if you're listening, rip out your session authentication code and rely solely on cookies. Apply a little KISS. It'll just work better if you use a single approach.

Grrr. TypeKey just made me re-log in and gave me an alpha-image challenge for the post above. I've now logged out, and I hope I never have to use that "service" again.

AHHHH! I logged out! Why are my comments still going to typepad?

Never had a problem with signing in but I do have a problem with typing in the crazy letters and numbers each time. Whats up with that?

Human tests should be easy enough for humans to pass. I hate the ones that are so hard to read that I fail it the first 3 times.
I remember a site I use having a math question as a human test. 1 + 4 * 3. At first glance I thought, oh, well 1 + 4 = 5.. times 3 is 15. Of course I failed the human test, where a computer would've already known the order of operations (the answer is 13). Either way, no robot would understand the context anyway, so I didn't see that as a good method when a simple 1+1 would've worked just fine.

When TypeKey worked it was great. However, for the last few months it has been horrible.
While the regulars here might remember that I was originally against the registration I will admit that it did do what Mike said it would. I also hope that this site does not revert to how it had been.

I'm sorry, It's been so long since I had to put my name in manually I forgot to do it. The previous post was mine.

typekey still wants me...
Posted by: eviltimes | December 19, 2007 at 11:38 AM
and now it says my comment is spam. If you're gonna announce that this garbege is gone, may be you should remove it first!

Seems like it's is still there. Anyway, it usually takes me about 3 tries to get a valid alpha-numeric challenge to take.
Irony is, that if you know where to look, there a few underground programs out there that instantly read/respond to this silly challenge for you - Ticket sales sites are having big time headaches with people using it to grab lots of tickets for scalping.

As long as you don't start any threads about throttling, you'll be okay. But now there might be a flame war just because I said "throttling" LOL

Finally, I hate making new logins.

Thank you!
I've only been able to log in once - every other time I've tried to comment I've been locked out!

"Irony is, that if you know where to look, there a few underground programs out there that instantly read/respond to this silly challenge for you"
I wish I knew where to look. I'm wanting one of those programs right about now. I mean, these are comments in a blog - is an alpha-challenge really necessary.

The problem is that if there is no challenge, then any kid can come along as post obscene comments. Some of the flame wars come close to that anyway.
I ran into the long message being declared spam by typekey and had to break it into three segments, just to post it.
I would like to see them do away with typing the alpha-numeric challenge, but it isn't as hard to read as some of those I've seen elsewhere.
Because of its problems understanding that once I've logged in, I've logged in, I'll never use typekey for any personal blogs.
