Redbox To Place Kiosks at Thousands of Walgreens & Wal-Mart Stores
Inside Redbox reports that Redbox will add 1,800 additional Walgreens locations, in addition to more than 2,700 new Wal-Mart stores announced earlier this month. Redbox has more locations than Blockbuster (6,700) and is owned by McDonald's and Coinstar.

While I'm sure this is going to be good...red box is really missing out by not getting machines in convenience stores. I mean how often do you go to Acme or Walgreens or wal-mart? at most once a week...to Acme. I will never rent a movie from Walmart because then I think, "Damn, I gotta go to walmart two days in a row?"
If they put them in 7-eleven or WAWA (for all you in the delaware valley) they would get a ton more traffic. people go to convenience stores every day for coffee, donuts, and lunch. If I could go into wawa get lunch, I would probably rent a movie as well because there is strong chance that I will be there the next day for a coffe or lunch or just picking up milk or whatever.

I'm still waiting for one in the McDonald's by my house. They do have one at the Albertson's convenience store, but its 2 miles from my house.

Good! So many people are getting on board with Redbox that it's no longer as easy to find the latest movies.
Near my house there is a kiosk at McDs and another across the street in a grocery store. I wonder if they will put a 3rd in the Walgreens next door to McDs?
I'd like to see more indoor locations. It's not much fun operating the kiosk in single digit wind chills. Hundred degree temperatures during summer seems to be rough on the mechanisms as well.

Tried to rent The Game Plan for weeks, for my kids, from Netflix and it was always "very long wait" in my top priority slot. Got it at Redbox on my first try, this past Friday night. If Netflix can't get me what I need within a reasonable amount of time, I'll be dropping it and doing Redbox from now on, as it is cheaper anyway.
