Fewest viewers of the Academy Awards since 1974. Could be a function of this year's movies not being very good.
Is it possible to bring Alfred Hitchcock back from the dead?

no, i heard ratings were down because the movies (and actors?) up for awards were artsy-fartsy. all europeans winning the acting awards probably wasn't a good thing for ratings, either.
vigo mortensen was great in eastern promises. i've got the american gangster hd dvd to watch from blockbuster total access, too. i'll probably check out in the valley of elah, atonement, sweeney todd, charlie wilson, elizabeth: GA, micheal clayton, and there will be blood in the coming weeks as well.
and although i haven't seen it, i've heard nothing but raves about juno.
