Bucky

I don't have it, but it is sitting patiently in my que. :)

Seriously .. dont waste your time. It's like every other S King extravaganza that turns into a bad made-for-tv movie.

Interesting of not predictable ending but other than that .. not worth the queue spot.

Bad.

Prozac

I was skipped but I thought it was due to the site being down. Even though I did get Kite Runner on the same day the Mist was out. I rented it at Blockbuster and enjoyed the Mist.

Eric

I was shipped the Mist last week. It arrived on Friday, and my wife & I watched it on Saturday.

We sent it back Monday, so now some other lucky soul can have one of the few(?) copies.

magentaville

I didn't get it either. Went to very long wait, so I just bought a copy at best buy. I don't like 6 month waits.

Complication

This is similar to Death Watch. They sent me the other new releases but skipped this one. My guess is that the wholesaler Netflix bought it from could only ship it so that it arrived on street day (Tuesday). The studios can't legally limit who a wholesaler sells to, but can tell them to make sure nothing gets delivered before street date (or else the wholesaler will stop getting the titles early).

I got skipped on it so what else is new? I've had other titles at the top of my queue that as far as I'm concerned have already been there way too long. No Reservations has been there since it came out a month and a half ago and is still on long wait. Michael Clayton just went to short wait a couple of days ago after getting skipped again this week. It too has been at the top since it came out six weeks ago. Sitto American Gangster - almost six weeks and still on long wait.

Frankly, one or two I get. I expect to wait but when it gets to be six weeks I start getting a bit irritated. Right now the top eight movies in my queue are on long wait or very long wait with Michael Clayton being the only one on short wait now.

I'm on the six out plan and turn my movies over anywhere from weekly to a week and a half. Occasionally two weeks on some Series discs. I'm seriously thinking of putting my account on hold for a couple of months so I can catch up on some of the newer releases. I guess that would mean holding my nose and going to BB.

Oh and I forgot to mention that at least one of my movies every week has to come from out of town. Two of them last week when the site went down and I just got one of those yesterday. So yeah, it takes a while for me to get irritated enough to pull the plug for a while but eventually I do get there.

Andrew

I got my copy of The Mist from Netflix last week, right on time.

Plus

I rented this last week but didn't get it 'cause of the damn site outage. Rented it from Blockbuster instead since I thought there would be a wait for awhile. Fuck yeah! Great damn movie. I gave it 5 stars 'cause it kept me tuned in from beginning to end. I'm no adventure/sci-fi person but loved this film. One of 2007's best, definitely.

OdomZ

I returned 4 movies last thursday to Netflix-- got 4 new ones shipped on friday, and they arrived on saturday. One of them being "The Mist". Not worth all of the hype because it was just ok. People need to stop being hung up on all of the hottest new releases. It's like how Blockbuster advertised the crap out of "1408" and it just turned out to be ok at best. I also got that movie from Netflix right away, when it came out.

Prozac

Hey Odomz...I respect your opinion but 1408 was a great movie. Twisted and kept me interested the whole time.

Tim

Got it at home right now.

OdomZ

I liked "1408" but ended up just giving it 3 stars. I like twisted movies like "City of Lost Children" and "Brazil". "1408" just seemed kind of strung out and boring to me.

Joe

I got it the day after it came out.

NETFLIX MOVIE BURNER

i highly doubt they buy thousands of copies from costco lol i dont think thats even legal because when u buy a movie your "suppose" to use it for private use and not for public display ....

Andrea

Got my copy Sat. 3/29. Sent it back yesterday.

Brian

I rented from the BB store and noticed something. The rental version was different from the one for sale. The exclusive just said it had extra bonus materials, not available on other versions.

"I rented from the BB store . . . The rental version was different from the one for sale. The exclusive just said it had extra bonus materials, not available on other versions."

The Weinstein Company did the same thing with "Bobby" and BB advertised it in their stores.

ghand
