Blockbuster To Sell Games & Hardware at Stores

The AP is reporting that Blockbuster will expand the video game selection at retail stores, Blockbuster to offer more video games at its US stores.

The movie rental company said the expansion will allow customers to buy games, hardware and accessories for the Sony PS3, Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS game systems at its stores.

Blockbuster also plans to offer more video game rental options.

Do you rent games from Blockbuster?

My local Blockbuster had a Wii System bundle for $322. The bundle included a Wii system, Wiimote/WiiPlay package, and a one month unlimited game rental. I reported this to Nintendo as Wii frowns on such bundles.

Blockbuster just put out a press release on their web site with more information about these concept stores: [link].

I used to have the 1 at a time unlimited from BBO, because they threw in a monthly coupon for a free movie or game rental. As the game rentals were "pricey" $7-9(?) it was a great deal, but they stopped the coupons and I stopped my membership.
