Can't Make It To Cannes? Try the Connecticut Film Festival
The Connecticut Film Festival starts tomorrow in my town, Danbury, Connecticut. This is the first year it's being held in Danbury, and it opens tomorrow night with a screening of The Flyboys. Danbury is a about an hour from New York city, and you can take the train to Brewster or drive up (we have a lot of parking).
Connecticut has offered generous tax incentives to attract filmmakers, and Keanu Reeves and Wes Craven are both in Danbury working on movies. Mr. Deeds, War of the Worlds, and the latest Indiana Jones movies were also filmed in Connecticut.
You can learn more about the festival and order tickets online at CTFilmFest.com.
