I remember listening to George Carlin when I was a teen (those 7 words were naughty back then), and I've always enjoyed his sense of humor, so I was saddened to learn that he died earlier this week. Bradford noticed that Netflix is recommending his DVDs:

I was a kid, but I have very early memories of seeing such classics as baseball vs football on Carson. It was one of the first exposures to a top flight language mechanic, how empowering that kind of language usage is, how cool it was.
