Netflix Movie Watching Guiness World Record Attempt Update
The Netflix movie watching Guiness World Record attempt is still going strong in New York's Times Square. I was able to visit the event over the weekend, and observe the contestants. Richard Simmons and the cast of Young Frankenstein stopped by to visit, and medical staff was checking their health on regular basis (I can't imagine what staying awake for days does to the body).
I posted a number of photos from the event on Flickr.
While most of the contestants were alert, the toll of being awake for days was showing on several of the contestants faces (and most have since dropped out).
The list of movies the contestants watched includes Iron Man, Best in Show, Ghostbusters, Inside Man, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, West Side Story, Baby Mama, Braveheart, Rent, Young Frankenstein, The Sound of Music, and Fearless.

Thats so awesome... I was in Time Square this weekend and saw the competition... They were handing out free Dales popcorn!!
They were watching Star Wars and one of the guys had a huge cigar in his mouth and acting like he was in the movie lol... Too funny...

I had no idea that was you taking those pictures. Funny to see myself in some of those pictures. I was there visiting my friend who was in the contest, apparently at the same time you were there.
