Netflix to Stop Shipping HD DVDs on December 15th
Netflix is officially ending support for HD DVD, and will stop shipping HD DVDs to customers on December 15th. Here's the official notice sent to customers today:

Since Blu-ray won the HD DVD war a while ago, this new shouldn't surprise anyone.

So what do they do with all the HD's?

That's what I was wondering, I'd love to pick some up at a discount. My Xbox HD-DVD player works great :) Just cause Blu-Ray won doesn't mean my hddvd drive magically stopped working.

inetvideo.com is selling transformers hd dvd for $1.99
anchorman hd dvd is also $1.99
many other hd dvd movies available at inetvideo for $3.99, $4.99, $5.99, $6.99, $7.99, $8.99, and $9.99
i'm sure at least some of these are combo hd dvd/dvd's which might make a difference to some, also.

I didn't buy any HD equipment until the war was over but I was seriously rooting for HD-DVD to win. Mostly because I didn't want to see SONY become any bigger of a bully than they already have become. Unfortunately, it wasn't the consumers who decided which format should prevail. So much for Free Market.
