I agree with Cinematical and Film Drunk: I can't believe that the Academy didn't honor Don LaFontaine, the voice of thousands of trailers and the Academy Awards show, who passed away last September. As a small tribute, here is a video about Don LaFontaine:

i heard it's because neither was a member of the academy. all those recognized for official academy members.

Yet another reason why I don't respect, recognize, or watch the Academy Awards. It's just the Hollywood Prom, where all the celebs get to pat each other on the back, pick their king and queen, and push all the crew and technical awards into the cloakroom.
