Alexander X.

I rely on imdb.com for anything movie related, after i find it there, then i hop on over to netflix for my movie doing. :)

I just check Apple's Movie Trailers page at http://www.apple.com/trailers/ once a day, watch the new trailers, and the ones that pique my interest I add to the Saved section of my Queue.

I think Movielens is the most amazing thing for movies ever. I just wish the interface would connect to Netflix so I could do more complex searches, like the highest recommendation available to stream.

I did sign up for Jinni after hearing so much about it but I haven't looked into it much yet.

I use Wikipedia.

Honestly, it's great. For example, a while back I was wondering whatever happened to Alex Winter (of Bill and Ted fame). So I pulled up the Wikipedia article, and apparently he's a director now. Now I've got a couple Alex Winter films in my queue I am pretty excited to see.

Reading up on your favorite actors and directors can yield some interesting results.

Metacritic, Netflix, Rotten Tomatoes, in that order.

I really like Clerkdogs and the approach they take. It looks like Netflix is trying to go the same route with the "taste preferencess" thing.

Jinni: I adore it for being able to figure out what I might like to watch on Instant Watch. I just love the way it filters!

IMDB: I always check there before deciding to watch or rent anything. I wish that places like IMDB & Jinni could use the IMDB data so I didn't have to flip back and forth between web pages all the time.

this article is a joke, like every other "article" at cnet -- honestly, it's amazing they stay in business. imdb at #5 and netflix at #10? i've been using netflix for 5 years, and imdb for at least 10, and although imdb is a great site for movie *information*, netflix is vastly superior for recommendations if you are at all adventurous in your movie watching.

It is perfect that people are able to get the personal loans and it opens up completely new possibilities.
