DVPRemote, a 99 cent iPhone app that works as a wireless remote for the Roku Player, has been updated to version 1.3. The free update has several key features:
- New user interface that mimics the the Roku remote.
- Auto-discovery of Roku Players (you don't have to find and enter the IP address of the remote anymore).
- Support for multiple Roku Players. It easily found the two in my house, and let me give them appropriate names ("Kids" and "Mike's"). To switch between Players you swipe the screen.
Note: you must first uninstall DVPRemote before installing 1.3.
Dave Zatz reports that the i.TV iPhone app will also have Roku and TiVo remote support soon.
Nice job taking that picture of the virtual and physical remote together. Why didn't I think of that??
