I bought one for my daughter 6 months ago, and will buy two more for others.

Could someone explain to me... how can a non-Netflix subscriber buy a current Netflix subscriber a gift sub.? Why has Netflix not made that as easy to do as an iTunes gift card is? Even if it were just a credit of $25 and up.

Just go to Netflix.com/gift and anyone can purchase a gift subscription.

Does anyone know If I order a year of the 3 out plan can I still upgrade to more discs and pay the difference? I'm a happy four out user and I don't want to sacrifice a disc.

To Hoorah-
Yes!! You can. My coworker bought me a years worth of netflix-but the one at a time $8.99 plan.
Here's what you do:
Order the 3 at a time (or whatever plan you choose) and then apply it to your account. Then go to your account and click on change plan, select the plan you want to upgrade too and click continue. A little box will come up asking you to confirm change and telling you what any charges will be with tax. Click confirm and there ya go-4 at a time. I think to upgrade from 3 to 4 at a time is an extra $7 a month.

I bought a 3 month sub last yr for our company Christmas. Doing the same thing this year. Put the printout certificate in a bag filled with popcorn and movie candy, and it seemed like so much more. :)

You could always buy gift subscriptions -- only the tab is new. The bigger question is what happened to the $4.99 plan? I bought one of those back in August as a birthday gift and now it's not even an option anymore -- what gives?

I was looking for the 4.99 plan too - I've been buying this plan every six months for my mother. She doesn't need (and I can't afford) a higher plan so I guess we'll be dropping it this year.

I want to give my girlfriend a gift card to Netflix but she doesn't have a computer. Can I just create an email account for her and order the movies that way?
