Roku sent out an e-mail reminding customers that they can watch Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland on the Roku Player for free if they sign up for Amazon Video on Demand (new Amazon VOD customers only). If you have already signed up for Amazon VOD you can rent it for $3.99 in SD, or $4.99 in HD.
You can also wait a day or so and get it on DVD or Blu-ray as part of your Netflix subscription, but it was nice of Roku to remind us that Amazon VOD has more than 75,000 movies and tv shows available for rental or purchase.
how do i watch it

Saw it already, and didnt have to pay Netflix $4 or $5 to do so. Im really glad too because it was one of the worst adaptations I have ever seen.
Feel free to waste your money at Amazon, but its not worth it... Even if you get it for free by trying other titles...
Amazon VOD has more than 75,000 movies and tv shows available for rental or purchase. Netflix has over 100,000 movies and tv shows available by mail or IW streaming at no additional charge. Hmmm... Decisions... Decisions...

I like having options and so I use Netflix, iTunes and Amazon VOD for most of my media needs. They each have their strengths and weaknesses.

I really wish Tim Burton would stop making movies...
same cast
same style
same design
same make-up
etc....

So true, there must be an unwritten rule that says Johnny Depp must star in a Tim Burton movie. The same rule applies to Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio.

The email I got said that I could rent it for $3.99 - not free, and I didn't already have Amazon VOD. I went through the steps and I didn't get a credit to my account.
