Deadline Hollywood reports that Starz will be delaying new original shows on Netflix by 90 days.
The network said that it will also implement a similar measure for its premiere movies, though Starz subscribers will continue to have unrestricted access to both new episodes and movies on Starz's own platform Starz Online. "Beginning with the April 1 premiere of the new original drama Camelot, new episodes of Starz originals will now be available on the Starz Play services 90 days after they debut on the network, with exclusive first-run movies later following suit," Starz said in a statement. Past seasons of Starz series, including Spartacus, and previously aired movies will continue to be available for streaming.
It'll be interesting to see if Netflix renews the Starz deal at the end of the year.
