I have been unable to remove movies from my queue for weeks. A pain, since I'm streaming only now, and movies don't disappear automatically from the queue after I watch them through my Samsung Charge phone.

I have had this problem (unable to remove movie) on and off but have been able to work around it by going to another browser. I use Safari, Firefox, Google Chrome, and Camino (Mac only). Camino seems to provide best results.

I've had this intermittently with one particular laptop. Other machines will remove the movie. Very weird.

Kiyoshi .

I have this problem also. I have been able to remove them using the Dolphin browser on my phone; but not using my laptop.

I had this problem and found out it was caused by the "https everywhere" plugin I was using. I then changed my preferences for that plugin to have it not be enabled on netflix.com and that solved the problem. Note that I did not completely disable the plugin itself, I just brought up the list of sites for the plugin and changed netflix from a checkmark to an x.

I have had problems with accessing some Netflix features, such as my account section, and finally discovered that Netflix is now incompatible with older FireFox browsers.
I now have to use Opera on the Netflix site, since I do not want to upgrade my FF browser yet.
Netflix help was not willing to share this information.
So if the site is acting weird you might want to try it in another/newer browser and see if that is the problem.

@Scott Baker: Yes, I disabled HTTPS Everywhere on the Netflix site, and now I'm able to remove movies from my queue.

Sometimes clicking on the 'Update DVD Queue' button located at the top/bottom of your DVD queue will sync your queue, and resolve the issue. :)

Maybe someone can help me with this one... A lot of the TV shows I was watching have disappeared from my queue on my Wii -- Felicity, Downton Abbey, a few others I've checked -- and when I search for them, they come up as "not available."

But if I watch on my laptop, it's fine -- I watched an episode of Downton last night, seconds after the Wii app had told me it was unavailable.

Uh, what the hell?

Tony

No, but then again, I'm not a Netflix user anymore!

I've had all the movies that I've watched and rated for the past 6 months just up and erase all of my rating data overnight. Now NF is trying to have me go back and rate each of these films as though I hadn't already done so. Very Frustrating, especially considering all new recommendations are supposed to based on your viewing and rating history, not to mention all the wasted time and effort I've put in, including my reviews, which are gone a well. I'd like to know why and what happened and if this has happened to anyone else...

I have no problems adjusting my Netflix Queue.

I did, however, have my Queue completely erased, back in 2006, without warning, without backup. All 400 something titles. Thankfully, my 6,000 ratings (at the time) and my reviews were all still intact.

Oh, and I also still have the problem of the Netflix Friends feature not showing up ;)

Alice

@Scott Baker - thank you! This had been frustrating me for a while, and I hadn't thought to check the https everywhere settings. So nice to be able to actually manage my queue and to be able to go to alternate seasons of shows.

This is my first time i visit here. I found interesting things to many in your blog, mostly to the debate.

S. Baker: disabling Netflix from my https everywhere list worked immediately. Thanks a bunch!

~ I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY QUEUE & WITH PAGES LOADING ON NETFLIX. WHEREAS I WOULD ALWAYS GET A BLANK PAGE WITH THE MESSAGE "URL...NOT FOUND" OR "URL....INVALID". IT TURNS OUT IT MAY BE YOUR BROWSER'S NETWORK CONNECTION SETTING WHICH SHOULD BE CHECKED "AUTODETECT PROXY SETTINGS FOR THIS CONNECTION"

~ IN MOZILLA FOX GO TO "MENU" --> "TOOLS" --> OPTIONS --> ADVANCED --> NETWORK --> "CONNNECTION" --> "SETTINGS" --> THEN CHECK "AUTODETECT PROXY SETTINGS FOR THIS NETWORK"

~ HOPE IT WORKS FOR YOU LIKE IT DID FOR ME

HYPRTCKR

IMPORTANT & CRITICAL ADDENDUM: (APPLIES TO MOZILLA FIREFOX & NETFLIX)

~ I also had to mention that after my last posted solution I still infrequently kept getting the URL invalid page on Netflix, so I also had to disable all extensions, & most addons, except Silverlight, Java platform, & Flash. (Adobe or Shockwave)

~ I as well had to uninstall some audio/video programs which were in conflict with each other & with Firefox addons, namely Itunes Quicktime, Realplayer,, & the AVG antivirus toolbar (disabled extension)

~ Whereas when installing Itunes it also adds Quicktime, which somehow also installs itself into Firefox as the default handler for Firefox applications (Tools-->Options-->ApplicatiOns).

~ Additionally Realplayer also has some conflicts which I was unable to source, but uninstalling it made it finally all the easier to finally view web pages without the annoying "URL...invalid, not found" problem.

~ I intend on contacting Netflix now that it is resolved at least on my computer since many have complained that Netflix cannot provide a solution.

GOOD LUCK

Judy

I don't have problems with my queue but I DO have a problem getting to Netflix.com with IE9 and the newest version of Windows. When sent to Netflix.com the browser goes into an infinite loop and flickers between the two urls but never gets there. At one point I even ended up on their UK page [verified by a tracert to netflix.com --- the server name said it was UK]. The tech helpline was not able to solve the problem. One of the tech people said there was no way that I should be able to see the UK page since it wasn't live yet. Another person on a different day said yes, the team developing the UK pages wanted reports on such problems. Another tech person suggested I use Firefox to avoid the endless loop problem and that does work. But I had to install Firefox which I don't use for anything else.

So Netflix has grown too big for its britches it seems. And the new "Watch Instantly" page is soooo annoying. The algorithm that chooses films to display does not fit my profile as well as the old page did. It often suggests films that I've already seen and more often, it displays films I have no interest in and have indicated that. The merry-go-round is a special effect I would rather live without.

I haven't yet cancelled but I have been thinking about doing so. Netflix once felt like a good friend that knew me well and a service I once enjoyed a great deal has become like the other annoying video services with their limited libraries and dumb recommendations and sometimes undependability. [I won't miss Starz but I do miss the good films they used to classify as "Cerebral". OK, so my tastes may not be mass marketing faves but if you want to play the numbers game - well all the other companies offering films already do that - that is why I'm NOT with them. I liked the fact that Netflix catered to my tastes even if they represent a small share of their customers.].

Innovation is only good when it makes the product better. Something Reed needs to learn.
