Here's a really good use of the new multiple accounts feature of Netflix: put all of the discs for a TV series you like (Sex in the City, Seasons 1-4) in a separate account, and give the account just 1 disc out at a time. Maintain your other queue as usual. You'll always have a predictable mix of TV series and movies, but more importantly, won't get the next disc in a TV series until you've turned the last one in (who hasn't mistakenly ended up with three discs from a TV series all at once?)
I tend to keep a DVD series at the bottom of my queue and bring the next one in order to the top of my queue, but this is an interesting trick. Anyone else have ideas on how to hack your queue?
I had considered using the seperate Queues for the purpose, since I'm the only user on my account. But I found that having to re-login was too much of a hassle.
If Netflix would put three queues side by side on the same page, I think it would be more beneficial to me.

I do it with the 4-at-a-time plan. I keep use one profile for tv series with 2 and one for movies and such with 2. It works great other than when I set it up for some reason I choose to make neither my base account (they're both profiles off my account). Now my ratings/recommendations are pretty much all messed up.

Another queue hack - since Netflix gives priority for high demand movies to people that aren't receiving movies as quickly, create a new profile and put a high demand movie in it. You'll get it right away. Worked for me for several movies. Your original profile may have lower priority because you've received too many movies this month, but the new profile hasn't.

It's easy to switch between multiple accounts, just use Firefox and it can automatically enter your password. Also, it seems you only have to enter the password when switching from a sub-account to your main identity.

The second I saw multiple queues I created 2 sub's. So now I have my main one for movies (1 at a time) and sub for my girlfriend (1 at a time) and a sub for TV shows (3 at a time) and this is perfect. My girlfriend can login with her name and have her own queue, now she can never complain that I don't get anything good :)

I created a profile for different genres. That way i don't get stuck with all chick-flicks or shoot'em ups.

I love netflix and have 300 movies in my queue... Here is how I manage them.. I rearrange the movies by type, so I have 30 anime then 50 comedy then 40 drama, etc all in a row. Then I arrange each catagory (action, drama, thriller, etc)from the movies I really want to see to the ones that are a "maybe". I do this with each catagory.
I use the top 10-15 spots as the "queue", which I fill from the top movies in each catagory. This way, if I want to see an action movie, I just go to the action section of my queue and pick the top movie. Since I have already spent the time to sort the action catagory, I know that all I have to do is pick the top action movie in my queue and I get my #1 choice for action. Also, I check the New Releases every Monday and pick the ones I want to see. These are added to the bottom of my queue and then I go and put them in the catagories they belong to. This has been working very well for me as now I don't have to manage 300 movies, I just have to manage the 40 or so movies in each catagory and then all I have to do is manage the top 15 spots that represent my #1 choice from each catagory.
