Walk the Line Among the pantheon of great country singers, Johnny Cash (played here by Joaquin Phoenix) may just be the most enigmatic. James Mangold's film distills Cash's transformation from man to icon -- from his hardscrabble days on an Arkansas farm to Sun Records in Memphis, Tenn., where Cash finally found a way for his talent to come into its own. Reese Witherspoon plays his beloved June, alongside co-stars Robert Patrick and Shelby Lynne.

Yours, Mine and Ours Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo take on the roles made famous by Henry Fonda and Lucille Ball in this remake of the 1968 comedy about two single parents who plan to marry and merge their broods into one "happy" family. But when the Coast Guard admiral and father of eight (Quaid) and the handbag designer with 10 tykes (Russo) prepare to wed, their collective progeny attempt to sabotage the union. George Lopez, Jerry O'Connell and Rip Torn co-star.

Pride and Prejudice In this retelling of Jane Austen's novel set in 19th century England, Mrs. Bennet (Brenda Blethyn) is all atwitter in hopes of marrying her daughters to prosperous gentlemen callers, especially when a wealthy bachelor moves nearby. Headstrong daughter Elizabeth (Keira Knightley) meets her match in Mr. Darcy, but misinterprets Darcy's honorable intentions and jeopardizes her chance at love. The Ice Harvest At the top of Santa's "naughty" list, unethical dim-bulb attorney Charlie Arglist (John Cusack) and his shifty associate (Billy Bob Thornton) embezzle $2 million from a local mobster. Death Tunnel When a creepy college dare lands five coeds (Steffany Huckaby, Annie Burgstede, Kristin Novak, Melanie Lewis and Yolanda Pecoraro) in an abandoned sanatorium -- dubbed "the Scariest Place in the World" -- they're forced to bunk with the spirits of the building's tortured past. So, how could it get any worse? The only way out is the dreaded Death Tunnel, a 500-foot underground chute used to evacuate dead patients.

It's a daunting prospect, until he agrees to coach the losing girls' high school basketball team. Based on a true story, the film draws heavily on a cast made up of talented Utah locals.

Bleak House Charles Dickens's complex tale of justice and redemption comes to life in this BBC miniseries, penned by period-piece writer Andrew Davies. Taken into the household of a benevolent man (Denis Lawson), the orphaned Esther Summerson (Anna Maxwell Martin) befriends two of his wards (Patrick Kennedy and Carey Mulligan). Meanwhile, the wealthy Lady Dedlock (Gillian Anderson) guards a well-kept secret that involves Esther's origins -- and her fate.

Fear of Clowns After painting an innocent-looking circus clown, artist Lynn Blodgett (Jacky Reres) is horrified to discover that a madman who looks just like her subject (Mark Lassise) is terrorizing her closest friends. Written and directed by Kevin Kangas, this creepy follow-up to his horror flick Hunting Humans goes a long way toward inspiring coulrophobia (or "fear of clowns") in all of us. Rick Ganz, Frank Lama and Lauren Pellegrino co-star.

Newsradio: Season 3 As the frazzled news director for New York City's No. 2 radio station, Dave Nelson (Dave Foley) does his best to keep his quirky co-workers from killing one another. In the show's third season, Mr. James (Stephen Root) runs for president; a heat wave spurs office hallucinations; Bill (Phil Hartman) makes Jerry Seinfeld look bad; and Dave's co-workers are shocked to learn he's Canadian. Maura Tierney, Khandi Alexander and Vicki Lewis co-star.

Elizabeth I: The Virgin Queen The offspring of King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn, Queen Elizabeth I used her education, intelligence and knack for diplomacy to guide England to glory. This riveting historical drama starring Anne-Marie Duff as the legendary sovereign chronicles how the shrewd Virgin Queen assumed the throne of a nation in turmoil, stabilized the economy, earned her subjects' devotion and manipulated a succession of suitors to political advantage.

Taxi, An Encounter A professional taxi cab thief is in for the ride of his life when he picks up a risky fare in this Argentine comedy-drama. After stealing yet another taxi for its parts, Esteban (Diego Peretti) pretends to be a cabbie and picks up Laura (Josefina Viton). When he discovers that the young woman has been shot and needs to go to the hospital, the car thief must decide whether he should help her and risk being questioned by the police.

The Lords of Discipline The focus is on institutional racism in this disquieting tale based on a Pat Conroy novel. At the fictitious Carolina Military Institute, flinty senior Will McLean (David Keith) is tasked with safeguarding Pearce (Mark Breland) -- the school's first black cadet. When it appears that Pearce has been marked for death, McLean begins an investigation that leads to a cabal of elite students who'll do anything to rid the institute of "undesirables."

Perception Twenty-something Jen Marshall (Piper Perabo) moves back from New York City to Los Angeles, ostensibly to care for her ailing parents but ultimately for her own selfish reasons. A master manipulator, Jen's always playing people against one another, but when she's tragically struck by a bus and finds herself in a wheelchair, the tables are turned. Going through therapy, the conniving girl gets her comeuppance as her friends slowly abandon her.

NFL Super Bowl XL Relive the excitement of Super Bowl XL -- and the controversy of that go-to-the-tape touchdown -- with this collector's edition program that pits the Seattle Seahawks against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Extras include highlights of the Steelers' winning season, playoff and Super Bowl wins; a selection of Super Bowl promotional pieces; and the Rolling Stones' electrifying halftime medley, showcasing their greatest hits.

NBA Hardwood Classics: NBA Live 2001 Phenom Kevin Garnett of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Grammy-winning producer Jimmy Jam serve as hosts for this amazing DVD that combines some of 2001's hottest tunes with razzle-dazzle footage of National Basketball Association superstars. Ellen: Season 3 Ellen DeGeneres charmed millions as spirited bookstore owner Ellen Morgan in this groundbreaking series, which catapulted the comedian to superstardom. Supported by a talented ensemble cast (Jeremy Piven, Joely Fisher, Arye Gross, Clea Lewis and David Anthony Higgins), Ellen survives earthquakes, robbers, an unhinged mother and a terrifying dinner guest (Martha Stewart) in Season 3. Guest stars include Mary Tyler Moore and Janeane Garofalo.

Axe Hassled by a motorcycle gang at a dusty tavern in the California desert, resourceful rock climbers Raven (Darlena Tejeiro) and Ashley (Andrea Bogart) make a fast exit -- on the gang leader's hog. But with the enraged bikers in pursuit -- not to mention an ax-wielding, escaped serial killer on the loose -- the two ladies have their work cut out. Soldiers of Change With the turbulence and turmoil of the 1960s raging, an African-American soldier finds himself at the center of two wars: the civil rights struggle at home and the ongoing conflict in Vietnam. To further complicate matters, his tolerance is tested when his sister falls in love with a white man. Clifton Davis, Charles Shaughnessy, Stacey Dash, Debbie Allen and Ben Vereen co-star in this thought-provoking drama.

3 Guys, 1 Girl, 2 Weddings It's a love triangle with a twist: Dan (Olivier Sitruk), an inveterate womanizer and commitment-phobe, is finally ready to tie the knot with Camille (Julie Gayet). His best friend, Laurent (Arnaud Giovaninetti), is a gay activist with a secret crush on Dan. Laurent tries everything he can think of to derail the impending nuptials, but as Dan's best man, he must choose whether to support his friend or be true to his own heart's desire.

La Ultima Noche This Mexican comedy -- whose title translates into "The Last Night" -- is the final installment in a three-part series (with The First Night and The Second Night rounding out the trilogy). With the ultimate goal of dispelling myths about sex in Latin culture, the film tells the stories of 50-something Gloria (Cecilia Gabriela), a young married couple (Mariana Ávila and Ricardo Palacio) and the single-and-searching Elena (Elizabeth Valdez).

Hormigas en la Boca (Ants in the Mouth) After serving a 10-year stretch in prison for robbing a Barcelona bank, Martin Losada (Eduard Fernandez) is released, only to find a much-changed country under the strict rule of Francisco Franco. Now, his only hope for normalcy is finding his best friend, Dalmau (Jose Luis Gomez), who helped him plot the crime yet managed to escape. Writer-director Mariano Barroso helms this award-winning Spanish drama, based on the novel by Miguel Barroso.

The Hobart Shakespeareans Mel Stuart's documentary follows Rafe Esquith, a passionate educator who inspires his students from Central Los Angeles to achieve the best that life has to offer. Mixing Shakespeare, Mark Twain and mathematics, and touring his young charges around Washington, D.C., and college campuses, the elementary school teacher makes learning exciting. For the finale, actors Ian McKellen and Michael York help the kids stage a production of "Hamlet."

John Cleese's Personal Best As part of the groundbreaking Monty Python performance troupe, John Cleese more than held his own against a field full of comic geniuses such as Graham Chapman, Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam, Terry Jones and Michael Palin. This special, which showcases Cleese's formidable comedic talents, features clips and film footage from the original television series. Cleese also penned the show and is in fine form as the program's host.

Terry Jones' Personal Best Monty Python fans will swoon over this PBS special featuring the pioneering comedy troupe's remaining members discussing Terry Jones's favorite episodes from the series. The Avenging Quartet Directed by Siu Wing, this 1990s action-thriller follows the efforts of Chin (Cynthia Yang), a beautiful Chinese agent, to recover a priceless painting. After her investigation moves to the nearby island of Hong Kong, she teams with a female kung fu master (Moon Lee) to apprehend a powerful Japanese gangster (Michiko Nishiwaki) who's taken off with a national treasure. Yukari Oshima and Waise Lee co-star in this popular "girls with guns" flick.

The Man Who Walked Alone Discharged from the military for medical reasons, World War II hero Marion Scott (Dave O'Brien) is hitchhiking his way home when he's picked up by rich society girl WilhelminaHammond (Kay Aldridge), who's fleeing her fiance; in a stolen car. And though sparks immediately fly between the two, the secrets they're hiding from each other might just quash their chance at romance. This madcap comedy earned an Oscar nomination for Best Score.

Millie When her wealthy spouse (James Hall) betrays her, Millie Maitland (Helen Twelvetrees) asks for a divorce but is forced to leave her daughter in her ex-husband's care. Anguished over the separation, she opens her heart to a handsome reporter, only to be hurt yet again. Now, with an old flame resurfacing who has his eyes on her now-grown daughter (Anita Louise), Millie decides she's finished with men. And she means it.

The Speed Reporter Convinced that mobsters control the recently elected head of the Reform League, newshound Dick Lawrence (Richard Talmadge) hits the pavement -- sometimes literally -- to prove his theory in print. But in exposing the truth, he makes so many enemies in the underworld that he becomes the target of vicious threats. Talmadge's former vocation as a circus acrobat accounts for his agility in the film's amazing stunt scenes.

To keep her profile as low as she can, Peggy splits from Jim and hides out with a reclusive artist (Reed Hadley). But if her abettor blows her cover -- and Jim's enemies find out where she is -- there will be nowhere left to hide.

The Headline Woman When gambler Johnny "Full House" Corinti (Theodore von Eltz) turns up dead, the evidence leads to police commissioner Frank Desmond (Conway Tearle) -- but the fingerprints on the murder weapon belong to Myrna Van Buren (Heather Angel), the beautiful daughter of a newspaper owner, who's apparently been framed. Can ace reporter Bob Grayson (Roger Pryor) and a sympathetic cop (Ford Sterling) prove that Myrna didn't do it?

The Great Mike Jimmy Dolan (Robert "Buzz" Henry) and his trusty horse, Mike, can deliver newspapers faster than anyone. So nobody is surprised when a wealthy thoroughbred owner (Pierre Watkin) suggests that Mike would make an excellent race horse. The plot thickens when local gangsters attempt to take Mike as part of a debt repayment scheme, leaving Jimmy with little hope of keeping his champion. Carl Switzer (better known as Alfalfa from "Our Gang") co-stars.

Hurricane at Pilgrim Hill After Sam "Bigmouth" Smedley (Clem Bevans) gets word that high-and-mighty Jonathan Smith (Cecil Kellaway) won't let his daughter wed penniless Steve Terhune (Bob Board), Sam travels Pilgrim Hill, Mass., to play matchmaker. No fan of Smith, the unofficial town boss, Smedley lures him to a desolate isle and summons a hurricane via an Indian rain dance -- then lets nature take its course when Terhune gets a chance to save his would-be father-in-law.

The Return of Rin Tin Tin Left in the care of the kindly Father Matthew (Donald Woods) after World War II, a young orphan named Paul (Robert Blake) reflects on his sorrowful circumstances. A chance meeting with the furry Rin Tin Tin pulls him out of his shell and gives him a reason to smile -- for a while. When the dog's original owner resurfaces and threatens to reclaim his property, Paul faces losing everything that's helped him heal.

Tom Robinson: Back in the Old Country Tom Robinson -- who spent years as front man for his band, TRB, and now hosts the BBC program "The Evening Sequence" -- gives a memorable solo performance in this 1984 concert filmed at London's Dominion Theatre. The set list includes the title tune, "Prison," "War Baby," "Cabin Boy," "Out in the Cold Again," "Murder at the End of the Day," "Never Gonna Fall in Love (Again)," "2-4-6-8 Motorway" and "Hope and Glory."

Orpheistes Festival Orchestra Live Swiss conductor Joel Mathias Jenny leads the Les Orpheistes Festival Orchestra and Bulgarian violinist Mario Hossen in this celebratory evening of beautiful classical music, featuring the world premiere of Walter Baer's "Winter Music." Other tracks include Antonio Vivaldi's "Winter," Johannes Brahms's "Hungarian Dance No. 5," Piotr Tchaikovsky's "Elegia," Niccolò Paganini's "I Palpiti" and Pablo de Sarasate's "Zigeunerweisen."

Lightning Strikes West When ex-convict Butch Taggart (Michael Vallon) lifts a shipment of cash intended to build a state-funded aqueduct, he leaves an entire town full of farmers high and dry. Desperate for outside help, the authorities hire vigilante cowboy "Lightning" Ken Morgan (Ken Maynard) to capture Taggart and recover the money -- but attractive barmaid Mae Grant (Claire Rochelle) could divert Morgan's attention in this rousing Western.

Code of the Saddle Two rival ranchers -- each convinced that the other is to blame for the string of recent misfortunes plaguing his property -- are prepared to go to war, and they're not about to listen to peacemaking cowboy Johnny Macklin (Johnny Mack Brown). Meanwhile, as Johnny attempts to prove that the local sheriff is the real source of the trouble, he finds himself framed for murder -- and a jailbreak may be the only chance he has to set things right.

No Man's Range When peacekeeping cowboys Jim Hale (Bob Steele) and his sidekick, Fuzz (Buck Connors), ride into a tiny Western town, they find themselves in the middle of a bona fide range war between beautiful rancher Helen Green (Roberta Gale) and nefarious gang leader Ed Brady (Steve Clark). Throwing up red flags to help Helen deliver her cattle to market on time, Jim and Fuzz plot to drive the vicious Brady Gang out of business.

Law of the West In a cruel act of retaliation against local vigilante leader Dan Carruthers (Hank Bell), grieving cattle rustler Lee Morgan (Edward Brady) kidnaps Carruthers's young son and raises the boy, named Bob, as if he were his own. Seventeen years later, Morgan sends Bob (Bob Steele) in pursuit of the man who is actually his father -- which is all part of Morgan's elaborate revenge plot to have Carruthers killed by his own flesh and blood.

Outlaws of Sonora Bandit Dude Brannen (Robert Livingston) gets a lucky break when he holds up one of the Three Mesquiteers -- Stony Brooke (also played by Livingston) -- and discovers he's a dead ringer for his mark. Taking Stony's place, Dude tries to convince the bank manager he's on the right side of the law, but when the banker doesn't buy it, Dude guns him down and absconds with more than $20,000. Trouble is, the good guys still think he's the real Stony!

The Lone Rider and the Bandit When a string of killings and robberies plagues a gold prospectors' camp, the miners -- who believe a notorious bandit (Carl Sepulveda) is to blame -- hire vigilante investigator "Lone Rider" Tom Cameron (George Houston) to get to the bottom of things. Donning disguises, Cameron and his sidekick, Fuzzy Jones (Al St. John), are close to getting their man … until the townsfolk's thirst for vengeance takes precedence.

The Panther's Claw When a diva hits her last high note, police suspect mild-mannered wigmaker Everett Digberry (Byron Foulger) is the killer. But the plot only thickens when strands of hair found in the singer's hands lead investigators to the shop of a rival wigmaker who turns up dead before he can even be questioned. With Everett's prints on the murder weapon, it seems like a clear-cut case for police commissioner Thatcher Colt (Sidney Blackmer) -- or is it?

Twin Husbands When beautiful Chloe Werrenden (Shirley Grey) and her oily accomplice, Colton Drain (Monroe Owsley), kidnap Jerry Van Trevor (John Miljan), they unveil their sinister plan for him to impersonate Chloe's missing magnate hubby (also played by Miljan) and steal his bonds. Jerry reluctantly agrees -- without letting on that he's a seasoned con man with a few clever moves up his sleeves. The supporting cast includes Hale Hamilton and Robert Elliott.

Brand of Hate In this B-grade Western, rancher Rod Kent (Bob Steele) falls for his comely neighbor Margie Orkin (Lucile Browne), but complications arise when her greedy half uncle Bill (George "Gabby" Hayes) tries to blackmail her. When the gallant cowboy steps in to protect his ladylove, one of Bill's vicious sons kills Rod's father. Joined by Margie's little brother and his loyal dog, Rod sets out to bring the villainous Orkin men to justice.

Gene Autry Collection: Rancho Grande Singing cowpoke Gene Autry is the foreman of a heavily mortgaged ranch that may be razed to make way for a dam. When the owner dies and leaves the Rancho Grande to his three flighty grandchildren, Gene must school the whippersnappers to help them keep the spread from entering receivership. Some quick thinking -- along with a few songs -- does wonders to uncover a secret plot to take over the Rancho Grande in this entertaining oater.

Chiseen With a name taken from the Chinese slang word for crazy, you know this variety show is anything but ordinary. Drawing inspiration from the "Jackass" stylings of Johnny Knoxville, this Hong Kong-based series that originally aired on MTV Asia features a cast of urban daredevils that pokes fun at pop culture by performing skits and stupid human tricks -- including the increasingly popular sport of wok-boarding.

Gene Autry Collection: Ride, Tenderfoot, Ride In this diverting Western, cowpoke Gene Autry inherits the Belmont Meat Packing Co. -- and the associated management headaches. When a rival company owned by socialite Ann Randolph (June Storey) tries to force Gene to sell his plant, a feud begins to brew, with Ann using her feminine wiles as a weapon and Gene employing parades, bands and, of course, tunes to carry the day. The supporting cast includes Smiley Burnette, Warren Hull and Joe Frisco.

Texas Buddies World War I crackerjack pilot Gat Garner (Bob Steele) and his buddy (George "Gabby" Hayes) track down a murderous outlaw in this vintage Western. On a trip through the Texas desert, the two chums stumble across human skeletal remains, along with a note asking the finder to care for the dead man's niece, June (Nancy Drexel). Gat teams with the sheriff to catch the wily killer (Harry Semels), managing along the way to fall head over heels for June.

Wolf Riders After Jack Jennings's family is tragically gunned down in the cross fire of a battle between cowboys and Indians, the orphaned boy is taken in and raised by a friendly Native American tribe. The grown-up Jack eventually becomes a champion for his adopted people as an Indian agent defending against racketeers that would take advantage of the tribes. Harry S. Webb directs this vintage B Western starring Saturday-matinee favorite Jack Perrin.
