Update: This was the big news from the investor call.
I was invited to join the Netflix "Friends List" last night and it's an extremely well thought-out way to share your love of movies with friends. It's also very viral -- you can even invite people that don't belong to Netflix to join.
Here's the invitation e-mail I received (I was asked to hide the name of the person that invited me):
This is the Friends List tab and page. Note the purple color on the tab, review stars, and the little purple person on movies a friend has seen:
This is the top of my queue. They put the little purple person next to movies your friends have seen:
I haven't had time to play with all of the features, but I like what I've seen so far. I have friends that I'd like to share movies and reviews with, and I can't wait to spend some time with it.
You view the friends page online at: http://www.netflix.com/FriendsLearnMore?.
Wow, this is exactly the functionality I've been waiting for Netflix to introduce since I joined a few years back. Any chance I could get someone to send me an invite?
Many thanks!
John

like one of the other commenters, i was also looking for a way to share my queue on my blog with a sidebar. glad netflix is doing SOMETHING with that apparently common impulse!

I hope they have a way for me just to open my Netflix choices up to anyone -- I don't want to have to spam my friends to get this feature to work.

Man I gave those fools that suggestion 6 months ago! I also suggested the RSS feed! Dang! I wish I got paid on those ideas! I told Netflix that they should have something to xanga where you could comment on movies (instead of books or cd's) and share your queue with your friends. Since your tastes are probably similar to your friends! Plus I told them it would be cool if you could have a feed to your web page that would show your queue! Oh well, I'm enjoying the improvements!

I'd love an invite too. If I receive one, I will allow you to print your own certificate that says "I am King Awesome." I haven't made the certificate, but I'll allow you to print one by not stopping you. Ok, nevermind...

Different people should treat essay thesis just about this topic correctly, just because they would need it a dissertation writing in their life.

I had got a dream to make my organization, however I didn't have got enough amount of cash to do it. Thank heaven my close mate advised to utilize the mortgage loans. Therefore I took the college loan and made real my old dream.

This is well known that money makes us free. But how to act if somebody doesn't have cash? The one way is to receive the mortgage loans and financial loan.
