My BB store is a no late fee store and I use my free ecoupons to rent games and I get those recordings after a week or so.

They don't have a current phone number of mine, but I did get something in the mail telling me I had a movie overdue. It was a New Release and I had it out for about 6 days, but still had at least 2 days before it was really due.

They're going to be wasting a lot of postage if they are mailing out overdue notices before movies technically need to be returned.

They sure have run out of new releases at my local BB, which has the "no late fee" deal going. Most big new releases (Ray and Mr. 3000 come to mind) are nearly impossible to find there. I lucked out and got one the other day since someone had just dropped it in the slot and the clerk pulled it for me, but otherwise it seems like the "no late fee" deal has resulted in fewer copies being available. It also seems like they're getting fewer copies of popular new releases, probably due to their "movie pass" deal.

I rarely go to Blockbuster because of my Netflix subscription, but I had a coupon so I rented a couple of movies. I kept Potluck out for the entire week because life happened and I did not get to watch it the night I planned to do so.

My Blockbuster has no late fees, but a human called me every single day. Early in the week the called and left a message on my answering machine. Later in the week they would call in the evening.

One or twice is a courtesy. Everyday is excessive.

Back when I used to rent from Blockbuster (over a year and a half ago), I would get automated calls (usually messages left on my voicemail) when I kept a movie out beyond the rental period. I'd usually get just one call, and generally the evening of or the morning after I was supposed to have returned it.

The new no late fees program has succeeded in getting me back into Blockbuster on occasion. But I can say, without a doubt, that availability is worse then it used to be. They have also eliminated "guaranteed in stock" entirely. It took 4 stores before I found the episode of 24 I was looking for (and which I wasn't willing to wait 2 days for Netflix to get to me).

People continue to amaze me. As customers the majority of you do not take responsibility for being late, so a store employee takes off your fees (you are never wrong it's always Blockbuster), now with no late fee people complain about getting reminder calls, selling a rental after seven days past due or charging a restocking fee of $1.25 after rental is returned, now it's not enough product. A film does badly in the theatre and you expect Blockbuster to buy hundreds of copies to sit on the shelves after it's 2 week run. I'm a store manager and I love my job but it's time that this generation realizes they have to take some responsibility, and it's only a movie (find something else this week). I have found that most people do not LISTEN OR READ what they later decide to gripe about.

I work at blockbuster as a CSR (person who checks the movies out to you) and yes, we do call EVERYONE! not just the people with the newest titles. Also, the Phone calls, and the Mail are Friendly reminders that you still have items checked out. although we dont mind if you bring you items back a few days "late", just remember, if you have that movie, someone else cant! so, Try to return your movies on time.

...I hate going through this all the time...

LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE CHECKING THE MOVIES OUT TO YOU!!!!!!
ASK THEM QUESTIONS IF YOU NEED/WANT TO!!!

I have people coming in and Blowing me off, i know that after a hard days work you just want to get your movies and go, but you must also remember that we are AT work!
And I know you get tired of us trying to sell you the movie passes and what not, but if we dont suggest SOMETHING, Blockbuster has the righ to terminate our job!
So, please, be nice to your local blockbuster employee, at least act like you care, most of us are really cool people and know alot about movies (at least at my store).
and i love it when a regular customer comes in, i enjoy spending a few minutes just talking to them about....Whatever!...It makes my job a little easier!

Also, please...DONT CALL BLOCKBUSTER ON FRIDAY/SATURDAY NIGHTS JUST TO ASK WHAT MOVIES CAME OUT!!! MOST LIKELY ALL THE NEW MOVIES ARE GONE!!!! AND WE ARE USUALLY BUSY (at my store) AND WE DONT HAVE THE TIME TO ANSWER THE PHONE EVERY 5 MINUTES!!!! however, if you do call, we will be happy to help you!

So, in conclusion, just take into consideration as to what the employee is going through...

AND GET OFF OF YOUR F'N CELL PHONES WHILE CHECKING OUT!!!!!!!!!!
