Winston tipped me off that Netflix was #15 on Wired Magazine's 2005 Wired 40 companies (up from #16 last year). It's short and has the usual "death watch" worry, but also talks about TiVo and video-on-demand. I love the intro for the story:
They're masters of technology and innovation. They're global thinkers driven by strategic vision. They're nimbler than Martha Stewart's PR team. They're the 2005 Wired 40.
Other companies on the list include Apple (#1), Google (#2), Amazon (#4), Pixar (#12), JetBlue (#25), Microsoft (#28), Costco (#30 and HackingNetflix fave), well, if you want the whole list you'll have to buy it.
Update: Ryan from Orbitcast.com let me know that you can now read the story online. It's an interesting list of companies with a blurb that explains why each one is important to watch.
