Haven't heard any good things about them.

This is barely a JV service that does not come close to either blockbuster or netflix. They must need cash in a big way since you have to pre pay about $100 to get locked into the service for the next 12 months at that discount price. If you think blockbuster skips movies in your queue, wait till you see these guys.

You'll find my review out there somewhere: their $100 Sucker, er, Superpass is not a good deal.

I thought for sure they had died, probably the adult movies that keep them alive.

My understanding, correct me if I'm wrong, is that they are a union of Mom & Pop video stores - that have subscribed to some sort of central dispatch service ( cool idea.... )

The downside of this approach, from experience, is that if it is rare, cult/obscure or foreign ( doesn't rent much ) these guys won't have it - How many M&P vid shops get four-disc boxed set "Animated Soviet Propaganda" (NYT recommended this week )? And, this may have changed, their central listing service is done by the service staff and was outrageously out of date or lightweight.

I love that they have a detailed drawing of Reed Hastings there, but then just some random old guy as BB's CEO. Don't they know who John Antioco is? Clueless 'tards...

I signed up for a trial of their program once. The thing that drew me to them was that they have movies and video games, and there are essentially no video game rental stores that have a decent selection of games, Blockbuster has about 20 titles for each system. But Intelliflix has basically two plans, they have "movies," and they have "movies, video games, and porno." And they have some downright odd pornographic titles (barefoot and pregnant #13, but not #1-12?), and a pretty good selection of video games. They claim to have more distribution centers than netflix, but they can have 100 per state, and if they're not efficient, it doesn't make a difference. Shipping times were slow, turnaround rates weren't that good, and they list a lot of titles that they didn't actually have. I would not recommend them at all. Also, I had barefoot and pregnant #13 at the top of my queue (at the request of my friends, honest) for the full two months I was subscribed, and it was never shipped. So those of you who want to sign up just for the naughty movies, I wouldn't recommend that, either.

As discussed before, Intelliflix just uses mom&pop stores across the country to ship from. They do not have any central DC.

I did try them early in 2006 and while it was okay, it was not fast. 5-6 days each way and discs came from down in the queue.

While they do have adult titles, they expanded with tons of adult novelties and "toys". Regular movies seem to have taken a backseat to the adult items.

i signed up for the 2 month free trial of intelliflix (ironic arrogant misnomer... more like "moroniflix") six weeks ago. i tried queueing classics, current, new releases, and tv shows. they don't even stock half the new releases i wanted. the ones they do have they report as "high demand" and won't even put it in your queue until it is likely available in less than 30 days. after SIX WEEKS, i've received FOUR (4) dvds, 5th on the way. average NINE (9) day turnaround. never gotten anything from the top of my queue (such as it is without anything new in there), and have only received disks from the older tv series i queued. total waste of time for me.

What is it with that goofy facial hair. The beatnik thing is so 1950's.

I signed up for the 3-out SuperPass last year, and was I glad when the year was up. Seems that most of the movies, even older movies from the 60's and 70's were always in "High Demand", as they termed it, and were never available. Other movies were all shipped from the bottom of the queue, nver the top. My #1 selection was at the top for the whole year and was never shipped. Received way too many discs that were broken or badly scratched. And yes, each disc came from independent video stores from all across the country. So Intelliflix does not have their own distribution centers that I am aware of, only a network of independent video retailers.

ByPass the SuperPass. Cause 9 out of 10 times, your top selections will get bypassed!

They are LIARS, CHEATS, SWINDLES. Put simply, Intelliflix is a SCAM.

I currently subscribe to the 3-out Superpass. I'd comment on the selection, the discs being scratched, all of the other comments, if they even sent me a disc from time to time. I've had someplace around 45 dvd's in my queue, and I have not had a movie shipped to me since mid-December (it's now almost March).

Do not subscribe to Intelliflix, I guarantee you'll regret it.
