I've been waiting a month for Hot Fuzz on HD DVD.

The HD DVD's seem to follow the same rules as standard DVD's. If you don't get the discs in on Monday, by Tuesday, it will be on long wait for quite some time.

I have an HD-DVD player (360), and there are delays at times that are a bit irritating. I realize that it's a super small percentage of their business, so I make allowance for that for now until the market is bigger for it.

If its an even remotely popular title, all my Blu-ray titles are Very Long Wait. Some older and less popular titles are available now.

Same here. I usually give up, and try to rent the DVD version of the same movie for my PS3. But, often, new releases on Blu-ray and DVD always have "Very long waits". It is pretty annoying. They need to start supporting the High-Def formats soon, as they aren't as of yet.

NF is horrible for HD-DVD. I ALWAYS get new release DVD's when I have slots open on Mondays. With HD-DVD, they have NEVER sent me a new release on Mondays and I have to wait month(s) to get them.

I've been waiting for it on regular DVD for about as long. What's weird is that I usually don't wait too long go disc but this one is strange. Is it that popular or did NF just not buy enough?

I have both format players. For new release HD titles I really want I've been putting either the HD-DVD or Blu-ray title in the NF queue, both the HD-DVD and Blu-ray titles in my BB queue (can't do with NF), plus check my BB store early on Tuesdays. Usually one of these is a "Hit".

Generally HD titles are much quicker to get mail rental from BB than NF if you don't get the title when it first releases.

Nothing against the guys whining about Hot Fuzz on HD-DVD, but the regular DVD has been in my queue since it came out and is still 'long wait'. I just bought a PS3 and will look to see how available the Blu-Ray titles are...

The title Hot Fuzz was sitting on my local BB shelves as both SD and HD-DVD (go figure!) last week. I exchanged a mailer for the Hi Def version, although I'm not convinced it's that type of movie that Hi Def makes much of a difference over upscaled SD.

I recently switched to NF from BB, because of very poor bluray availability on BB. We live very close to a BB, so the in-store returns and free rentals were an awesome perk. But all the movies in my BB queue were listed as "long wait" or "very long wait". At one point we went a week with a free slot and nothing shipped.

I put the exact same list of bluray movies in my NF queue - and all of them are listed as available "now".

Needless to say, we have switched to Netfix!

Let us know how many bluray discs you actually receive. Maybe one website is more truthful than the other website in terms of availability.
