PS3 - it truly only does everything...

when does this go onto Roku?

dave

how about Hulu for free, on the PS3??? I've got Netflix--I'm not ABOUT to pay for Hulu Plus

ts

I don't get Hulu Plus at all. Isn't it just network shows--with the commercials? And not even all the networks at that. Why pay 10 bucks a month for that when you can either watch live or DVR the programs? As for their catalog of back episodes is anyone even clear how extensive that catalog will be? Seems to me there's better ways of getting them anyway...like Netflix. Just my observation. Somebody must be satisfied.

Of coure after I hit post something did occur to me. I suppose for those that want to dump cable/satellite altogether then H-Plus does serve a limited purpose. Still seems like NF would be better though for variety and choice. Anyway 10 bucks a month is definitely cheaper than paying Direct TV or Comcast.

You got it. Even Hulu Plus + NF at $20/month + an OTA DVR is a lot cheaper then $70 for Cable TV. Add in Boxee to scrape other stuff...and you are set.

This is what I am setting up right now. I am just waiting for Hulu Plus on Roku.

Am wondering if the PS3's upscaling capability will work with the non-HD streams from Hulu in the same manner that the PS3 upscales the non-HD streams from Netflix.

Upscaled Netflix via the PS3 really changed the game for us.

"$70 for Cable TV"

Try $90 a month in my neck of the woods, $20 per month for NF and HP is a bargain.

I would be more apt to pay 5 bucks a month for this service. Just not going to do 10 when I can just connect my HTPC to my TV and do it for free.

Again, I would schell out 5 bucks a month in a heart beat for it just for sheer convinence.
