I love Obama so consider that when I say: what's wrong with this picture?

Let me count the ways. Nearly everyone in the photo is White. Male. Rich.

Let the conspiracy theories begin!

Reed: So when you all put Air Bud Golden Receiver at the top of your queue at the same time, that signals NORAD to shut down the internet.

Obama: I thought that launched the missiles??

Reed: No, that's when you all put Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the top of your queues.

Zuckerberg: What's Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?

Jobs: I told you we shouldn't have invited him!

Obama: Okay, let's move onto the robot army. Where's Watson?

The reason there are so many white males is because they start the majority of companies and create jobs in the US. So yes it is an odd picture: a bunch of entrepeneurs that create jobs and pay taxes sitting with a left-wing president who never ran a company and wants peoples taxes.

@ Mike

@ BP;

ROFLMAO! Great comment. I couldn't agree with you more.

It's just another photo op showing the president's sleeves rolled up so it looks like he's working.

Keep drinking the Kool-Aid lemmings.

Fascinating, Mike. How is that white male system working out? Any problems with massive unemployment or financial recessions? How about 1 percent of the people having almost a third of the wealth in the country?

What a country, as a Yakov Smirnoff used to say.

They earned it so they should keep it unlike the socialists on here who think they are entitled to a handout.

Who sarted the biggest companies in the world and how many people do they employ(read millions)?
Walmart: Sam Walton
Ford: Henry Ford
Bell(now AT&T): Alexander Bell
Kroger: Bernard Kroger
Mercedes Benz: Gottlieb Daimler and Carl Benz
Apple: Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak

I can go on for along time but you get the point.

Seth, the problem with prejudice is that it rolls both ways. When you lose a job because of being a white male and the corporate bosses say minorities look better on government paperwork, call me.

I don't care what people did in the past. I never owned slaves and I've never discriminated. I only ask the same in return.

Anyway, this has gotten way off topic.

No, Marshall, your analogy is myopic but you're right this isn't the place for this discussion. Good luck to you and Mike.

@ Seth:

"Good luck to you and Mike."

I am sure they will be very happy together at their KKK meetings

Hey Marshall, I believe that was you on news last night. Were you the one in the white sheet or the one wearing the armband with the swastika on it.

Drink much tea?

@ Mike:

"...a bunch of entrepeneurs that create jobs and pay taxes...

Are you speaking about entrepreneurs of companies such as Countrywide, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, etc.?

Maybe you are you speaking about the oil companies that don't have to pay taxes on the revenue that they earn through their overseas subsidiaries? That money goes untaxed by the IRS as long as it stays off the company’s U.S. books. Is that who you are talking about?

I don't see any oil execs in the picture. Still US oil companies create US jobs and the workers pay taxes. I don't recall hearing about Obama starting a company.
As for your KKK comment, it is disgusting and offensive.

Now back to Obama creating jobs by rolling up his sleeves and having a glass of wine.

@ Mike:

I find it very telling that you ignored the part where I said "Are you speaking about entrepreneurs of companies such as Countrywide, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, etc.?"

As for you not liking my KKK comment; you shouldn't have become a member if you're ashamed about it.

Btw...where is your next cross-burning?

What's the matter Mike are you too afraid to post now that you've been outed?

You and your friends need to be careful with that gasoline. I hope you don't hurt your back carrying that Cross.

I oppose Obama because he is a left-wing academic who has never worked in the private sector let alone ran a company, not because of the color of his skin. Seth brought up the the color of his skin not me, I'm just tired of the "if you oppose Obama you must be a racist" crap.

@ Mike:

"I oppose Obama because he is a left-wing academic who has never worked in the private sector let alone ran a company, not because of the color of his skin.

The problem I have with believing you is because no one who is against President Obama has ever said they don't like him because of his skin color. I would hope you'll admit there are many racist people in our country who wouldn't care if he, by himself, ended all of the world conflicts, got employment here to 100%, erased poverty and cured Cancer and Aids. They would still find something to bitch and complain about while never admitting the real reason is because he is not 100% Caucasian.

So... When should we start talking about Netflix?

See, this is exactly what I meant by racism swinging both ways. I mentioned what happened to me personally, losing a job in the late 80s to affirmative action. Something that has largely been declared illegal since actually. Some afraid to post a real name that goes by "Tester" then makes comments about me being in the KKK. Re-read my original post carefully Mr. Tester. When I said I don't discriminate I meant it. People should get jobs without having to disclose race or gender.

I don't get the tea reference by the way. Do Nazi's drink a lot of tea?

Werx, I agree, this topic has gotten out of hand.

@ Marshall:

First, I want to say I am sorry I lumped you in with Mike. In re-reading what you posted you didn't come off as a bigoted person. I said what I said about you in the heat of the moment.

I should have replied to you losing your job. If you actually lost your job simply because the company you worked for decided it would look better for them to have minorities, and for no other reason (poor work habits, etc.) then that is wrong. I don't however agree with you not caring what happened in the past because you personally didn't own slaves, we should all care.

Your comment about not having to disclose race or gender is fine on the job application but don't you think, if the applicant is called in for an interview, they'll be able to figure those things out? The only thing not disclosing it on the application will do is possibly get the person to the interview. And if the company don't want a certain 'type' of person that person will never get past the interview stage.

This exchange is hilarious. Keep teh flames alive.
