The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars and Motor Kings

Chris Morris is trendy just now because of Four Lions. It's a prime opportunity for US audiences to discover his television work from the UK. Over a decades classic material over 3/4 different shows.

Oh man, there's like 30 DVDs on my "Saved" section. What happened to "Things You Can Tell just By Looking at Her"? Also, the Ingrid Bergman class, "Gaslight". "At First Sight" "Angels and Insects".

At least I can be thankful that 3 items in my Saved queue are finally available via streaming.

Let's see: Breaking the Waves, L'Argent, L'Atalante, Medium Cool, Pather Panchali, The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover, The Gardens of the Finzi-Continis, Weekend.

I think some of these are out-of-print - which would be reason to put them on streaming, if possible

Pontypool. I'm sick of having to buy used DVDs because Netflix doesn't have them! And this one's been out for a while.. Netflix also LOVES to yank older DVDs they had in circulation which go out of print.

The Fugitive Season 4 Vol 2.

The 2-part series conclusion in August 1967 was the most-watched TV show ever until it was eclipsed by Dallas' Who Shot J.R. episode in 1980. I remember it well. I've enjoyed re-watching the series on DVDs from Netflix. Except now Netflix has not made the 2nd half of the last season available on either DVD or streaming. (It came out on DVD in February of this year.)

Please, Netflix, release The Fugitive finale!

The Executive

Jurassic Park

there are several seasons of survivor, that had not even been put on dvd for a long time (previously the first 2 seasons were available and then some of the much later seasons, but not the middle ones), but now that they have been put on dvd (amazon notified me), netflix has not picked them up--and who wants to BUY a season of survivor? i'm not going to sit at home watching them over and over...

also, does anyone remember netflix having some kind of way to contact them about this kind of thing? at one point when a season of a tv series was not available, i called and talked to them about it (they told me whoever put out the dvds had not allowed netflix to rent them--i contacted the company, and they eventually ended up on netflix--silk stalkings, if you're curious), but i don't think there's any way to contact them anymore about these type of issues...

Several of the Dark Shadows Collections DVD that they had but don't now -- 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 26. Dark Shadows Reunion, Dark Shadows Bloopers. Dark Shadows -- The Beginning: Collection 6.

The Saint starring Roger Moore

A Woman of Substance, To Be The Best, and Hold The Dream (The Barbara Taylor Bradford's book TV series)

Scarlett with Timothy Dalton (conclusion to Gone With The Wind)

Gary Collins "The Sixth Sense" -- 1970s TV Show that was part of the Night Gallery series (this isn't in my SAVE Queue because it isn't even available to save in the Queue. All the rest are in my SAVE queue.

Neither of my top two favorite movies are available on Netflix, but in Netflix's defense, neither have been released on region 1 DVD. I think the real problem is region lock-in, which Netflix really can't help. (I maintain the crazy hope that Netflix will expand to Europe & I can sign up for that to watch all the movies that are apparently too good to be marketed in America...)

Doctor Who Season 5

"High Road to China", Tom Selleck and Bess Armstrong.

I should have said ...
Doctor Who Season 5 - BluRay (and streaming) as it is available on DVD, but I want to see it in HD.

-Blonde for a Night (1928)
-The Mask: Animated Series

All tv sitcoms & dramas from the 70's,80's,90's like C.H.I.P.S., Good Times, Whats Happening, Welcome Back Carter, ect

and The Last American Virgin

Hawaiian Eye with Robert Conrad late 1950s early 1960s -- hard to find classic series would be nice to see on DVD with Netflix

dpricer -- Netflix has Doctor Who Series 5 with Matt Smith on Netflix in DVD format look under TV series DVD tab

dpricer OK now I see what you mean by your next post you want Doctor Who Season 5 in either or both Blue Ray and Streaming not just DVD format.

Pet Sematary 2, Piranha (Original), Salem's Lot

i would love to see more stuff that isnt in heavy rotation from hbo to starz then to netflix or thats hasnt been in syndication in 30 years. like something obscure.

I would love to see them offer short films. It's very hard to see some of these great little pieces and having them on hand would be a nice diversion from TV episodes and features.

not sure about a site like that but im sure someone can create on with the netflix api

The Facts of Life latest seasons and the rest of the Shout dvd releases please.

You can compare the list VideoETA.com puts out each week of new DVD releases to the list posted on this blog of new netflix releases. For May 3 VideoETA lists over 100 DVDs or DVD collections. Neflix lists 14.

Netflix may have never added some of those titles but there is a fair number they would have bought in the past but not now.

From the other posts I've noticed a number of films I have rented from Netflix in the past that are apparently no longer available (from them) and apparently a good many they have no intention of ever restocking as they don't give you even the saved option.

As Netflix continues to degrade and devalue its DVD by mail service I am looking for alternatives to access the sort of films I want to see- Greencine may be a possiblity, same with FACETS but both especially Greencine have some limitations with mailing distance

There are lots of great British TV shows that have aired on ITV or Channel 4 that are not available in this country. As a previous person said, getting all this programming on instant would be great. And I'm sure that most of this programming could be acquired at a minimal costs. I love UK TV and want to watch a lot more than just BBC.

I would love to have all seasons of King Of Queens via Netflix streaming.

Favorite titles? Are you asking about unavailable in-print titles or the truly unavailable? If we haven't seen it because Netflix doesn't have it, do you still want to know about it? As was suggested by your May 3 post Blu-ray availability appears to have declined significantly. I believe this is a (hopefully temporary) policy change. This is unfortunate because Netflix has been an (almost) ideal company until now. Freed from the confines of the short-tail of limited shelf space (Blockbuster) consumers were finally rewarded. Capitalism worked! (Albeit with the help of an internet infrastructure.) A few complaints:

1. Criterion titles. Criterion recently pulled their streaming content in favor of Hulu. Criterion titles are not and have never been properly labeled, and Netflix will buy and has always bought, if available, a cheaper non-criterion version of a title.

2. Rental copies. Around the time rental windows began certain studios also began supplying Rental versions of their films stripped of features.

3. Fat Girl. Soon to get a Blu-ray release from Criterion, this very much in-print film, which Netflix used to carry, is not only no longer available to rent but was delisted from saving. While it appears to still be cached in either their or Google's server, the only plausible explanation I can think of for singling out this (controversial) title is self-censorship based on content. It is however an excellent film.

4. Best Buy and Target exclusives. Titles like Top Chef that have been released recently only at Target, Netflix doesn't carry.

5. Blu-ray. With Blockbuster falling behind and into bankruptcy Netflix has looked to the future. And this apparently entails pulling away from their base. So to conclude here's a list of some of the (soon to be staggering) list of unavailable Blu-ray titles:

A.I. Artificial Intelligence
All About Eve
Bad Lieutenant
A Beautiful Mind
The Bridge on the River Kwai
Broadcast News
The Color Purple
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Exit Through the Gift Shop
The Exorcist
It's a Wonderful Life
Lost in Translation
Once Upon a Time in America
Paths of Glory
The Red Shoes
Rain Man
The Sound of Music
South of the Border
Sweet Smell of Success
Taxi Driver
Thelma & Louise
Tromeo & Juliet

Blu Ray titles:

Back To The Future Trilogy
Alien Anthology
The Goonies
Mortal Kombat
Uncle Buck
Fiddler On The Roof
Road House
The Ten Commandments
King Kong (Fay Wray version)
All The Presidents Men

Chen Wao

A 70s classic.

Rape of the Soul
