Daniel Trogdon

It's not easy to find, so here is the list (well, kinda--you have to look by state): http://about.usps.com/news/electronic-press-kits/expandedaccess/statelist.htm

Don't forget about all those corner mailboxes the Postal Service is "decommissioning." I now have to go about half a mile to the nearest box, right here in the middle of a San Diego city residential area.

I'm amazed it took them so long to cut off the dead weight in their business. After all even though it is a government thing just like any public or private company you must do something to stop the gushing wounds. These post offices they are closing probably have been bleeding for years. Expect the near future to find things more automated and the only person you are likely to see will be the mailman/woman. All we need is a way to pay for the stuff and a letter slot or package receptacle. Which means there is no neeed for more employees than a small crew to load mail trucks and the people to deliver the mail/packages. The rest is or will be automated.

Those little pissant post offices should have been closed LONG ago.

We've got some around here....in the middle of nowhere that are open like 2-3 hours a day. 10-2:00 with an hours lunch of something crazy.
