All 11 seasons of Frasier have also started streaming, I believe this completes the missing CBS shows (with the exception of the mysteriously absent Twilight Zone Season 4)

The First 8 Seasons of the original Law and Order have been added also.

I am not sure if it was mentioned before but a lot of Discovery content was added last week including but not limited to:
How it's made
Mythbusters (Unfortunately still just collection)
American Chopper
Cake Boss

Gee, it only took 6 months for The Wonder Years to show up after they announced it. What service!

Account Deleted

The wonder years is not available on DVD. But all 6 seasons are streaming on Netflix.
Malcolm in the Middle has seen only the first season released on DVD (9 years ago), yet all 7 Seasons are now streaming.
"What service!" indeed.

BigSaltyDookie

I guess the original Joe Cocker theme song was part of the hold up on The Wonder Years seeing as they've replaced it with some other guy singing the song. Kind of sucks but I'll take the Wonder Years with fake Joe Cocker singing the theme over no show at all. I wish they'd just release the series on Blu-Ray or DVD. I'd like to actually own it.

This is great to know, as I love this show, but unfortunately it is far from complete. There are 203 episodes available across 11 seasons. That's approximately 18 episodes per season. As there were 24 episodes per season, that means about 6 episodes are missing from each season.

So Netflix is only streaming about 75% of Frasier.

I'm sure Netflix would prefer to stream them all and likely there is some rights-holder that is demanding exorbitant licensing fees or creating some other artificial barrier to accessing these episodes. Greed sucks.

marc

you people are pathetic. they finally get wonder years prob because of issues getting lisc (which is the studio's fault) and you still have issues. Netflix could get every episode of every of every show and every movie ever and people on here would still bitch about something. It's pathetic. If you hate netflix so much go somewhere else.

matt

sons of guns on streaming as well!

JaneM

Thank you Netflix! The greatest new streaming collection and yet people are still complaining. Unbelievable!

It was Law and Order that I was waiting for and what a wonderful surprise to see it listed. I am loving The Wonder Years and Frasier - two series I missed even though they were huge hits. I am probably appreciating them more now than I would have when they were first shown. And without commercials!!!

I joined Netflix for the streaming and I am happy to see that you are making the service bigger and better than ever. I feel sorry for those of you who continue to moan and groan and I feel even sorrier for those of us who have to read your nasty comments.

@byteme - Good Catch, I Hadn't noticed that. That is a large percentage of missing episodes.
Still happy to have it though, I missed a lot of the later seasons.

@marc - Let's be fair only one individual in this thread was complaining.

Smy

Why the hell was "A Serbian Film" removed from my queue days before release? If this is a cave to censorship than this is the last straw.

I want an answer.

Unfortunately, there appear to be more subtitle issues with some of the new titles. Though all of the other Star Trek series have them, there is no option to turn on subtitles for Deep Space 9. Also, while there is an option for CC subtitles for Frasier, in the first season episode that I watched, none appeared.

I really wish that Netflix had an option to report missing subtitles for titles that list them as available. The only report option for subtitles at this point in time is for missing subtitles in a foreign language film.

ScottZ

Wow, some nice adds there. Thanks Netflix!

moviegeek

I wish Netflix could get recent CBS shows, I use Hulu for NBC and ABC shows. I know it's not Netflix's fault, CBS is greedy with their shows and don't want people to stream to their TV's.

Keep up the good work Netflix, my decision to keep streaming is becoming more clearer.

vio

The Wonder Years and Malcom in the Middle! That's more like it!

2McAbre

Elvira's Haunted Hills! Not really a "new release" Netflix... Bought my copy off her site years ago ;-)

Campy and extremely cheesy fun for anyone who enjoys her like I do :-D Look for tons of old cheesy horror references!

Joe

Now if only Netflix could get "Brooklyn Bridge," another show held up because of music licensing issues.

bigqueue

Amazon doesn't have Twilight Zone season 4 either.. (I'm not an Amazon Prime customer, but checked a few days ago).

I may have to actually BUY TZ at some point when Amazon has another relatively cheap price for the whole series. (If Netflix had them on DVD in season sets, I'd probably just rent them.)

Since S4 is hour long episodes, I've seen essentially none of that season. (There was either 1 or 2 TV movie(s) that were just two of the hour long episodes put together in the 1980s sometime..) Or maybe it was an hour long episode along with two of the non-syndicated half hour episodes.

Seth

No one's noticing that Hacking Netflix now lists the streaming titles before the discs??? This is a new development. And, I dare say, worth noting.

Nat Mishkin

I just watched The Wonder Years, Season 1 Episode 1 and it was as great as I remembered it. Too bad the video quality is really awful but I'm guessing that's not Netflix's fault.

Joe 6-Pack

AMCs The Walking Dead is now on streaming.

matt miller

Caprica is not available on streaming.

Seth

Caprica IS availale for streaming. There's something broken with the link here; go to the actual Netflix site and add it.

Seth

I think it's kind of hilarious that you didn't try that before posting a comment. "Well, I tried adding it for a split second and it didn't work; it's not streaming!"

vio

Good catch with The Walking Dead, Joe. I'm surprised that one slipped under the radar. Looks like Netflix is definitely making good use with the millions they saved not renewing the Starz deal.

AJ

AMCs The Walking Dead does not appear as a streaming title on netflix.com or instantwatcher.com.

The Walking Dead (film) 1995 appears to be streaming. But who cares?

AJ

Guess they put it up, and took it back down. We've all seen that before. Anyway, it does show as "streaming soon", and I've been wanting to check it out. Cool.

Crow550

@2McAbre

Elvira's Haunted Hills.

It's a 10th Anniversary release with new extras and such.

Joe 6-Pack

AMCs The Walking Dead was up for a few hours this morning. Looks like they took it down?

Pat

I addded Walking Dead this morning. Netflix must have put it up for streaming before they should have. At least we will get it sometime soon. I was hoping to watch them again before the 16th.

vio

Yeah, it's gone now, but it definitely was up this morning. Too bad.. I didn't bother to watch any while it was up. Oh well, looks like it's coming soon either way.

Gobotron

Funny, after being informed about the Netflix deal for "The Wonder Years" it didn't show up until after Amazon announced it, even though Amazon doesn't have it yet. As for the person complaining about people "bitching about" songs being changed, let us know what minor things bother you, as there sure are some, so someone can also lash out in a manner that exceeds the amount of emotion one expressed in merely mentioning it.

Gobotron

I skipped to a favorite fifth season episode of "The Wonder Years", "Frank and Denise" to see if other songs are still there. "Only You" and the song "If I Were a Carpenter" by Tim Hardin are still in the episode. From what I remember the pilot episode originally had a brighter, kind of fuzzy look to it anyway; looks better than it does on my tapes.

Amanda Reiter

Netlix, hehe.

a

I only complained that Netflix took 6 months to make available something it had said would be available in the same post as other shows that showed up immediately. Despite tons of comments on the blog and Facebook asking for a clarification of when it was coming, there was no response from Netflix. We were ignored. I still say that customer service was poor.

Elizabeth

Amazon Prime has now added The Wonder Years, 24, Arrested Development, The X-Files, Ally McBeal, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I also saw Firefly, but I am not sure if that is new or not. I don't believe they got Malcolm in the Middle. At least not yet. I was looking forward to watching seasons 2+. Oh well, The Wonder Years will keep me occupied for a while.

a is a moron

@a so a huge company should let the general public know about a legal matter that could possibly jeopardize the contract. Not only that from a blog. So I'm sure that the executives from a publicly traded company read blogs. I mean can't you see microsoft, ibm, and intel checking a blog for ideas on how to better run there company and to let people know about products or services that are not released yet. That makes total sense. Wake up people.

Pat

The Walking Dead is back on-line for streaming.

Crow550

One thing that will be lost with Starz is Disney. Wonder if Netflix will make a deal with them?
