Why would UltraViolet need Netflix to be successful?

Fred Talmadge

Guess I haven't been paying attention but I never heard of UV until now. From what little I read I don't want a new DVD disc or some kind of DRM control that I have to hack to get it to play on my Linux box.

I dont think Netflix really mattered for UV. Apple though is a problem.

Who the hell cares about UV. Actually how it used 2 work was a digital copy was more or less a DVD to which you could then download through iTunes. Simple but no, now it's DRM full through this stupid Flixter app.

Now I get excited when I hear that Hollywood takes a bath on some movies because it makes them regret stupid decisions like this one.

SCREW DRM & more importantly UV
