If you're one of the lucky people that has a discontinued HP Touchpad, you'll soon be able to run Netflix streaming on it using the Cyanogenmod 9 software. Droidmatters reports:
Right after HP released the Android kernel source code for the TouchPad tablet, the folks at CyanogenMod were able to get hardware acceleration going for the tablet. A day later, they released CM9 alpha 2 which enabled Netflix streaming on the TouchPad.
With WiFi, audio, video and the Android Market working, maybe it is time for me to pull out my WebOs-powered TouchPad and flash some CyanogenMod goodness on it. Keep in mind that this version of the CM9 ROM isn’t final yet and a feature such as the camera isn’t working yet.
I have been streaming Netflix (android app) for quite a while on my HP Touchpad using CM7.

Touchpad with CM9 is really nice. Best $99 spent on a tech product.

My HP Touchpad has the most recent Android OS (alpha 2) and is still not able to show video with Netflix. I tried downloading Netflix ver. 1.4.1 and 1.4.0, nether one would load after installation. I called Netflix and they told me to call HP for support as the Touchpad is not on their list of supported devices, I replied that I had voided my HP warranted by installing Android, they acted as if they could care less. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Dan
