Here's the full list of new Netflix DVD releases this week (detailed list): The Expendables 3, What If, Wish I Was Here, Jealousy, Manuscripts Don't Burn, Nymphomaniac: The Extended Director's Cut Volume I, Nymphomaniac: The Extended Director's Cut Volume II, The Giver, Moebius, Beyond the Edge, When Calls the Heart: Season 1, A Merry Friggin' Christmas, and Tyler Perry's A Madea Christmas.
It would be nice to have a good Christmas movie but maybe Hollywood won't make them anymore. So "Seeking a Friend for the End of the World" is the next best thing. Enjoy.

I miss the report on streaming releases.
Actually, I also miss postings other than new releases. Does Mike run this site anymore?

I think the owner should designate some moderators and set this forum up with registered users. There are tons of people who visit this website. This should become a regulated forum and allow moderators or users to post all new additions on the main page.

I agree crowbar. Maybe Juan would like to help out...

I definitely miss the weekly new streaming releases too. There is no other site that is concise and easy to reference like this. I don't like instantwatcher.com I know it exists

@CS: Click on this link and tell me again you don't like instant watcher. It's in alphabetical order with box art. Every time the alphabet starts over, it was released the day prior. What’s not to like? http://instantwatcher.com/titles/new?view=box_art&popups=1&infinite=1

There are other sites that steadily put out information about Netflix and I guess we could use Google Alerts, but I haven't bothered with any of that. One big recent story was that Saturday delivery ended. I just come here at least once a week out of habit. I also learned of an interesting blog called "What Netflix Does" that shows how it crops streaming films, sometimes relegating them to simple pan and scan. I thought the days of pan-and-scan were over.

Thanks, Wolf! Much appreciated.
No more Saturday delivery, effective now, huh. That's too bad. I haven't had occasion to test that out recently; I'll have to pay attention next time.
I had seen "What Netflix Does" some time ago, seems like maybe more than two years ago. I definitely remember that Cable Guy example from then, even though it says 'two months ago' on the blog, so that could be old info, corrected by now. I do also hate cropping out the original aspect ratio. I reported one such problem with a movie and left a note for myself in the form of a review; they had it fixed next time I checked about a month later; so, it's not hopeless.
To report an incorrect aspect ratio, go to My List and use the Report Problem link next to your title in Recently Watched. It's easy to see.
